RUINED....

The definition of RUINED:  Total destruction, either physical, moral, social or economic;  to destroy completely;  demolish

I typed in "Ruined" in Google & found all kinds of pictures... of towns & villages demolished after wars or battles - or after natural disasters... pictures of beaches full of liter & debris... pictures of animals covered in oil that would never recover.... Ruined is a pretty heavy word.  Especially when you look again at that definition - TOTAL destruction!

In our youth series on "Regret", my friend Joe brought up that word ... he talked about how sometimes our sins & our past failures can make us feel like we are ruined... our lives are totally demolished...

I've been there... anyone else?

Joe talked about how that is such a trick of Satan - how he likes to put that divide up between us & God... That Satan would have us really believe WE are RUINED...

Think of the things that are ruined... they are trash, things that are unable to be put back together, things no one wants.  Apply that to your life & the feeling that comes with all of that baggage & you can see why Satan loves that horrible word... it leaves you with no hope...

But is RUINED even in God's vocabulary?

Is there anything He cant take & rebuild?

Even better - we are to die to self anyways - He makes all things NEW... so all that rubble that is lying on the ground in the ruins, God doesnt even NEED... You can become a NEW CREATION....

Yeah... I think when God sees something that Satan wants us to think as RUINED, He sees it as a new beginning...

If you have something that is "ruined" in your life, dont let Satan use that against you... hand it over to God & see what beautiful things He can create out of it...

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!"
2 Corinthians 5:17
