Can you believe its going on 10 years since September 11th?

I work with youth kids that have no memory of that day... they were just babies - some not even born. It boggles my mind that there is a generation coming up now that didnt know what that day held.... how it changed us all that lived through it...

10 years... but it's still so real to us....

  1. I can remember that I was getting my boys ready to leave for the bus when the first plane it. My youngest son would run in the house for months afterward any time a plane flew over our house.

I had a friend that worked in one of the towers and I remember exactly the moment I finally found out that she had over slept that day and missed the train to work...she was ok. It still brings tears to my eyes!

  2. I remember exactly where I was...I worked in our local daycare center and I was the lead teacher in the toddler room. Parents were just dropping their kiddos off and we were starting our morning routine when one parent told us that a plane had hit the first tower. We were all guessing it was a small plane that had gotten lost or someone was shooting a movie and things like that. Our director's office was just across the hall and she turned the tv on in her office and we watched as the events of the day unfolded.

It was odd realizing that these little toddlers had no idea and couldn't understand what was going on but that this would change their (and our) lives forever!

  3. Great video. I agree with their statement--those men tried to take us down and break us, but we banded together.

    Faith.
    Hope.
    Love.

  4. THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE! AMEN

I was at home alone and had been cleaning when I stopped to turn on the tv for something. I'll never forget feeling so scared and alone! I called my husband at work and told his receptionist and his office to turn on the tv and watch what was happening.

    We Will NEVER Forget!

    Blessings!

  7. It's so overwhelming to think about it being so long ago. Reliving this weekend is going to be tough.

    Hugs & love,
