Wednesday... time to Podge in the Hodge

1. Are you a force to be reckoned with? In what way?

I totally can be...

Why?  Because I have a big mouth & I'm not afraid to use it...

Add that to my Italian side that is passionate about what I believe in & that's a combo for a FORCE... for sure!

You don't even WANT to get this look from me

 2. What are two things you love about the wintertime. Or, if love feels like too strong a word, what are two things you like about winter?

Love is DEFINITELY too strong a word...

This is hard to think about what I even like about winter... I could make a HUGE list of everything I DON'T like about it...

One thing I can think of... it slows down for me in my photography sessions.  I need the break to get through the Holidays, to take pictures of my dogs, to let my arm get a break from holding cameras & editing pictures...

Two?  I like that it ends

3. Pomegranate, kumquat, persimmon, kiwi, and guava are all fruits said to have health benefits, particularly during the winter months.  Do you have a favorite on the list? Are there any on the list you haven't tried?

I like Pomegranate... love they have those little containers now with just the Pomegranate seeds.  Even comes with a little spoon on top.
Best little snack

I'm also a fan of Kiwi... which is really good for you.

I don't think I've ever tried a persimmon, kumquat or guava... or if I have, I didn't know I did.  I'm not even sure what these things LOOK like...

4. I passed a local church yesterday and noticed they had this on their sign, "When all else fails, do the right thing." Your thoughts?

All I can think about is the movie from the 80's by Spike Lee - Do the Right Thing ...

Never saw it... but remember the name of it.  Makes me think of all things "Living Colour" & the Fly Girls dancing ... the horrible things of the 80's...

probably not the route the church was going...

A clip from the movie....
For the record - the bike is BEHIND this guy...
how did it get his FRONT shoe dirty...
I notice things like this in movies

5. Do you ski? According to one list I've seen, the top 5 ski destinations for 2014 are St. Anton Austria, Whistler Canada, Cortina Italy, Tahoe USA, and Zermatt Switzerland. Of the five listed which would you most like to visit? We can make skiing optional if that helps the non-skiers with their answer.

I'm not going on skis.... that would be setting me up for horrible failure... & lots of awful body pain.

If I had to choose one though, I would like to see Whistler Canada.  Why?
1. Because I could probably see my Canadian friend Jen if I was there
2. Because it was on the Real Housewives of Orange County, so its gotta be awesome.

I'd go on the slopes & re-enact this exact same face

6. What's the last thing you looked for online? (besides my blog!)

Indestructible toys for dogs....

That toy lasted about 48 minutes before every part of it was in shreds

Let's not talk about the fact we've spent about $80 in Elk antler's lately...

7. What saying, slogan, quote, or motto, have you seen lately that inspires you for the new year?

Stop Whining, You're Smart, Fix it

At the church retreat I was at this weekend, a pastor said he heard God telling him that... I can apply that to so much in my life.  I think I've said it to myself at least 20 times a day...

Even have it written on my mirror so I see it over & over...

The world would be a better place if everyone took that same advice.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

I know this video is going around now... but I think its hilarious... I love seeing people get scared

People aren't right even thinking of these things...All of this for a movie promotion... of a movie I will NEVER go see.

My favorite... the guy who isn't even stunned or moved by it

  1. We bought our pup an elk antler at a dog show. She grabs it occasionally, but doesn't seem to be crazy about it. I love the slogan! Amen!

  2. That video is HILARIOUS...I would have freaked out! Not any plans to see that movie, though! Anything having to do with the devil and I'm outta here! Wasn't it the Housewives of Orange County that went to Whistler? That's where Vicki and that other chick (what's her name???) got into a huge altercation. When is that show returning? I'm having serious withdrawals!

  3. So the seeds of pomegranates are what is eaten?

  4. #1 me too!!!
    - your puppy is so dang cute!

  5. I haven't had those Pom-Poms but it sure looks like it takes the mess out of eating a pomegranate!

  6. I love your Harvey pictures. Our new puppy likes a little twirly like rawhide. Fortunately, she's small so we haven't had to buy to many yet. But we sure have put enough money on other things, like shots, etc and she will be spayed next month. Yikes!

  7. Haha!! My favorite thing about winter is also that it ends! And so funny but I've wanted to go to Whistler ever since that episode of RHOC! Especially the ice bar!

  8. That puppy of yours is dangerous. I wouldn't want to be a toy around him.

  9. I loved when they started coming out with those containers of pomegranates. Our Skye does the same thing with toys, even the ones that claim to be indestructible!

  10. I'm with you... winter and love don't even belong in the same sentence!
