2017 is going to be full of wonderful things... as long as you look for it {Thankful Thursday #105}

This week I am Thankful for:
{Numbers go with my One Thousands Gifts Journal... so just ignore them}

1 / My Birthday. Growing older... an honor.

Made sure to take a picture of myself for my birthday - document 45 ... with my big baby

2 / My Dad bringing me sweet treats. I talked about this the other day.  I dont know what was better - the Hershey Frozen pie or the Potato Candy.  Equally sugary bites of heaven.

3 / Sweet texts from MSM girls.  I got a text from one of my girls that it actually brought tears to my eyes.  Honestly - it was just the kindest words.  Who knew a 7th grader could be so beautiful with words?

4 / Gas Discount.  The one good thing about buying all the gift cards for Christmas at Kroger is that I got 70 cents off of gas. YES!!!

6 / Fun with our Framily.  We love having our own Christmas with the Czeczok gang.  (dont attempt to try & pronounce that name if you dont know how - you could injure yourself)

8 /All day PJs on New Years Day.  That's how you kick off a year.

11 / Ricky doing Etsy pics for me.  I'm used to pulling out the tripod & getting the remote to take my pictures for my Etsy account, but Ricky said he'd take the pics of me this time around.  It made it so much faster.

14 / Hair appointment.  Love starting the year with fresh hair.  It always makes you feel better in life.

What are you Thankful For this first week of the year?

  1. Okay, now I need a phonetic spelling of that last name!

    I love your title of this post. It's a reminder that there is really so much good in this world if we look instead of getting so consumed with the negativity.

  5. You are just so darn pretty! All these pics of you are just stunning- especially the one with your furry co-pilot! Sounds like you're kicking off 2017 with a super grateful, happy heart!

  6. That's so nice that Ricky helped with the Etsy photos, I'm sure that did make it quicker. And your hair looks great! I've got to do something with mine soon. I started doing a daily gratitude in my journal so thanks for sharing the idea :)

  7. I love your 45th year photo! I started a 1000 Gifts inspired list this year and so far I've been doing a great job at writing down 3 things each day. Yesterday my thankful thoughts were everyone in bed under one roof, waking up to my cat purring at the end of my bed and time to work on my puzzle!

  8. This week I am thankful that my husband is attending a mandatory parent meeting about absolute petty nonsense so that I don't have to go and have my head explode.

    I love fresh hair!

  9. I keep finding more and more white hairs, so I'm going to have to start a monthly hair appointment! Yesterday I found two on the side of my head where I haven't found them before...and one was pretty dang long! THE HORROR! Your hair always looks SO pretty!!!

    And that is some last name!

  10. Fresh hair is the best! Yours looks fantastic! I love the idea of taking a picture of yourself on birthday to commemorate. I'm going to copy that idea. I'm also going to copy Thankful Thursday, not for my blog, but in my personal life. Gratitude is so important and I don't always do a good job of acknowledging all my blessings.

  12. This Christmas was the very first year we stayed in our pjs all day so I totally understand about New Year's! Your hair is on point, Sista!

  13. Agreed, always makes it better to have new hair for a new year, I got mine cut just before Christmas, it was long over due. Yay for someone else taking pictures, it does go much faster! What lighting do you suggest someone get that is on the cheaper side, so I can take pictures of things at night? There are so many cheap options on Amazon I never know which one is going to be a good one. Thoughts?

  14. Totally adore that pic of you with your biggest baby.

    It is 100% a privilege to get older.

  19. I love your hair! So pretty. I have heard that about Kroger, but I haven't tried it yet. I am ALL about saving money though :)

  20. I neglected your birthday. HAPPY birthday, and I love your attitude about it. My mom turned 70 on Jan 1st. She said "it's just a number" and is reminded that her brother/my uncle (who passed away from a heart attack at the age of 51) didn't have those 2 more decades that she's been blessed with. I love your birthday picture with Harvey Dent too <3

  21. While we didn't really get snow, we did get lots of scary ice, so I'm glad I didn't lose power and was safe and sound, with plenty to eat/drink and was warm!
