Wrapping up the year with a lot of sinus stuff & cold yucks .... One Sentence a Day - December 2016 Edition

This is it - the final candle in the cake... a full year documented.
It may not be the most exciting posts, but I really do love looking back over them & seeing how my month - & eventually, year, how it all went down.
I'm someone who forgets so easily so its just fun to see what I was doing...
& love that when I start January, I can compare to what I was doing the January the year before :)
I'm a nerd like that. #sorrynotsorry

So here we go...my December in One Sentence

1.  Trying to get Bruno to take pills requires Navy Seal moves & planning.

2.  Finished Magnolia Story & want to get that book for every one of my friends.

 :

3.  Totally stressed out about health insurance where I didn't even want to leave my house, which I stayed in pajamas & did just that the entire day.

4.  So beyond excited that our friends Ryan & Chasity came into MSM for the first time to start serving!!!

5.  Freaked out when the UPS man is knocking on our door & making deliveries at 9pm at night!

6.  OH no..... feeling a sore throat & earache coming on.

7.  We worked on Zoe & getting her hair under control & then I called it a night & stayed in bed with my sore throat watching Hairspray Live!

8. I'm going down with this sinus infection thing.

9.  It was one of those days where you just feel so bad, you count down the hours till you get home again before you even leave the house in the morning.

10.  The most productive thing I did all day was mail out more Etsy packages.

11.  I was hoping against all hope that Ricky would be spared from this sinus infection thing going around & was sadly disappointed when he woke up feeling horrible.

12. Got a text from one of my MSM girls reminding me it was their choir performance for the night, in which I had down for Thursday by mistake, so had to wrap up what I was doing & head out to cheer on my girls.

13. Felt so bad for Ricky who is full on sick now with a cough, sore throat, headache & a fever #tistheseason

14. Trying to get caught up at work to just take off for 2 days.

15. Was able to get out by myself & finish Ricky's Christmas shopping.

16.  I went out shopping with my momma while Ricky was heading home to surrender to his sickness.

17.  Spent most of the day with Ricky trying to heal from his cold/flu while the weather jumped up to 60 degrees before plunging down to 8. #nowondereveryoneissick

18.  We had our MSM Christmas party & then headed to celebrate Christmas with my Vincent family.

19.  Christmas celebrations continues on when we got together with our JOY Sisters to eat dinner together & do a fun scarf swap before talking about how we view the cross.

20.  Making it through work on less than 3 hours sleep, I thought I was going to fall asleep on the way home & ended up taking a 2 hour nap as soon as I walked in the door.

21.  Getting stressed over last minute shopping & still needing 3 presents & no clue what they need to be.

22.  I was shocked when I got to work & heard a coworker's husband unexpectedly passed away.

23.  Just anxious to make it through the day at work to get out of the office & start celebrating the holidays!

24.  Did some shopping & headed out to celebrate Ricky's birthday before having Christmas with my family.

25. With Christmas being on a Sunday, I loved going to church to celebrate the birth of our Savior on His Birthday! #MerryChristmas


26.  Loved getting to spend the day with our youngest & her boyfriend Kyle, while me & Kyle were the TEAM TO BEAT playing Headbanz Act It Up #unstoppable

27.  Trying to get caught up at work with everyone being off & missing a Monday.

28.  Love when buying all those gift cards at Kroger pays off with 70 cents off my fuel.

29.  I was the only one in our office for the entire day & it was the most peaceful day at work I've ever had in my life.

30. Happy 45th Birthday to me!!!

31.  Rang in the New Years with our friends & then had the scariest drive home in the densest fog eve & then couldnt fall asleep till nearly 3am really ringing in the New Year #bye2016

... & that's a wrap.

We'll see what 2017 holds every day....

  1. I love this idea! I actually started writing 1 good thing that happened each day & putting it in a box..so that on December 31st 2017, I can look back on my year & be reminded of everything great that happened.

    I'm also dying to read the Magnolia Story!! Just need to get around to buying it.

  6. This is too cool! I enjoyed reading this so much. I got the Magnolia Story for Christmas and I cannot wait to dig into it, after I finish up the other three books I'm ready ha ha.

  7. A whole year documented, love it! I need to get cracking in magnolia story since I got it for Christmas. I feel like I always get sick with some kind of sinus thing in December. It always stinks right?!

  12. Yay! What a great month, I love looking back at what I was doing a year ago, too :) I want to read that book so bad! I'm just going to have to pick it up next time I'm out, wonder if they have it at Costco? hmmm...I'm doing the sentence link up tomorrow, link up with me! :)

    I love that you can look back on a whole year with single sentences. Great idea! I gifted K the book of grateful sentence-per-day about him. He was so surprised!

  14. Once again I've enjoyed reading your Sentence A Day. I'm starting the year out with writing something short about each day and also doing my Question a Day book. Hope I can keep it up this year. Last year I made it into March or April, but then life got in the way.
