I have sooo many thoughts running through my head on this...first of all, what's with the "male" being part of your school name? Did it used to be an all boys school and changed, or am I missing something obvious? Also, the pictures in this are hilariously awesome. Also, I don't think I could currently sing my own school's fight song unless someone else started it for me and refreshed my memory. And I love your prom pic. And all the shoe comments.

BASICALLY I JUST LOVED THIS. So great.Torriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00914130332528653162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36253142.post-5555691464849621982017-06-07T12:10:08.978-04:002017-06-07T12:10:08.978-04:00Oh - what a fun post! Funny how everyone's glasses back then were so huge, and then the frames gradually got smaller. Thank goodness for contacts now though!Elizabeth - No Lazy Dayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11850346132248360959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36253142.post-31026291622487268772017-06-07T11:38:49.182-04:002017-06-07T11:38:49.182-04:00This is great. Seriously many things right now are so 90's and early '00s. The flannel. The chokers. The "mom" jeans. Velvet. I digress. I love the prom pic, and I'm glad you enjoyed dancing even if you guys didn't talk much after prom. Hmmm my high school memories are mostly of art classes. We were the older ones and picked the music for the class. It was great. 50 minutes or 90 minutes of painting/drawing/etc. to music. We had some quirky older guy friends who had the only round table in the cafeteria (maybe what the question was referring to?) and my BFF dated one of them. So we joined the group. They had suit dae (< lol) on Fridays and all wore suits/blazers/etc. I acquired many blazers, and still love to wear blazers because of that. :) My friend and I also did all of the makeup for the men in all of the plays and musicals. That was pretty fun too. haha I had some great teachers. I had good memories, but also dramatic ones. It always feels weird to go back. My sister was 3 years younger than me in school. Now that my younger sister (10) is back in Kansas, we were there again the other day for a recognition ceremony. Maybe it will be in my life forever even though I don't want to keep going back. I guess if I had whined my folks would have gotten me a car, but frankly I liked being able to do my homework & read on the way too & from school. I was a "leave me alone & let me read" kind of person - which is why after my Freshman year I always packed my lunch & ate in the classroom. I had this one friend who always found me anyway. It failed pretty hard.

Anyways, I either had to take AP Government, or regular government. I was way too smart for regular, but honestly, did NOT want to put in the work & extra projects for AP Gov since I had so many other AP's already. So I took regular government, and was SO. DAMN. BORED. I would read whatever book I was into at the time, and one day the teacher got sick of it, snatched it away and said "There will be no reading in my classroom" - which I snarkily informed her was NOT what she probably meant to say. And also then recited back to her what she'd been talking about for the last 5 minutes. I then told her that she really shouldn't take a book away from someone in a state with such low literacy rankings compared to other states. And then she locked my book in her desk & sent me to the principals office. Where the Principal laughed & asked me to tell him about my book. Haha.

Love that gladiator sandals came back in style! And your white prom shoes. His study hall teacher would let him and the other athletes go to the gym during that time. What ended up happening would be that they would sit out in the hallway in front of the gym and I would get my lunch (usually an orange juice and a bag of cheetos..lol) and sit down there and talk to them! Come to think of it i'm not sure why they didn't come to the cafeteria instead!

I ended up being neighbors with my junior year prom date..lol Fairytales and Fitnesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11771224209536216240noreply@blogger.com
