There are a few things in life that I love above everything else.... my family of course, friends, knitting, Beauty & The Beast.... & STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN!!!!!!! I adore this man & have been one of his biggest fans since as long as I can remember... even when he sported the mullet in years past!
So how excited was I when Erica called me yesterday with "I've got some fantastic news".... she found out that on our Women of Faith trip in August.... HE'S A GUEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOO - HOOO!!! Now, I love Women of Faith conferences so much anyways & this will be the first that I've seen my guy at! I've got to get a "ticker" thing now so I can count the days!!!!
I was trying to figure out how many times I've seen him in concert or at events... I honestly have lost track - how sad is that! I just think SCC's humbleness & love for his family & our Lord is amazing - & his family amazes me too -I love to follow Mary Beth & all the kids as well.
I just know his story at WOF is going to be heart wrenching if he talks about Maria & the accident - which I'm sure he will.... WOF always requires kleenex anyways - I'll need an extra package!
Now, I have to wait until August! But dang, Christmas came around so fast - August will probably be here before I know it!
They sure do have quite the testimony, don't they! Thanks for all your lovely comments, I always look forward to your encouragement. I hope August comes quickly too, cuz it will be that much closer to Alex being home!! THanks again!

YOU ARE KIDDING ME????? YES!!!! That will just make the weekend that much sweeter!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. That will be a nice addition, but Nicole C Mullen will be hard to beat!
ReplyDeleteMy son LOVES SCC as well. The first song that he ever had as his own (you know something I didn't push him towards ~~ not that I would do such a thing =) was Dive. And to this day, still loves it. If it comes on the radio, it is jam session in the car ~~ I'm diving in, I'm going deep, Okay I need to go listen to me some SCC now.
ReplyDeleteLove you friend,
Dawn
PS Knitting + dawn = diaster !! but still pressing on =)
I have enjoyed going to WOF conferences but I've got you beat...both Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman will be in concert here on Easter Sunday!!! Woohoo!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! That will be an incredible weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Sha and I get to go this year because my youngest son, Kyle, is getting married August 1st. We're usually in Florida that weekend so the wedding is going to free us up to go to WOF this year. I've missed it so much the last few years. I can't wait!

ReplyDeleteI haven't been to WOF in years, but was always blessed when I went. SCC will be amazing and will no doubt have a WORD for you all after all they have been through. Makes you want to hurry through summer, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I have long been a fan of SCC. I saw the interview his family did on the Larry King Show, and it was quite the testimony! Lucky you!
