1 - Finish a book & then read a whole other one #escapefromreality

2 - Work, Doctors Appointment, visiting mom, take care of her cat, pick up dinner - twas a busy day #helloMonday

3 -  Didnt expect to spend the whole time playing Bingo with mom & the ladies are the rehab center - but it was such a pleasant experience #TwoPeopleWonAtOurTableToo

4 - Woke up early on my Work from Home day & it was a glorious morning so went out to watch the sun rise before having to log on #peaceful

5 - Mom wasn't having a good day but they got her moved to another room that helped & she got to go to Craft class & crafts always makes things better #IWannaGo

6 - So excited Love Island USA is back for the summer #TrashTVatitsFinest

7 - Got to play Bingo with mom again & I won & let the whole table reap the benefits #CandyforEVERYONE

8 - Took mom her clean laundered clothes back to her & watched more of the tennis finals with mom even though the SOUND was out on that channel #MimeTennis

9 - Crazy busy day covering for a coworker & then visiting mom & then go take a new scratch pad to mom's kitty #SheMissesHerMomma

10 - HAIR DAY & got to see a friend I hadnt seen in awhile while under the dyer & do a quick catch up

11 - Welp.... mom isnt come home as soon as we thought #ShesUpset  #IDontBlameHer 

12 - Took Ernie with us to go to mom's house & he loves getting a break from his brothers #lovethewindowsdown

13 - Closing remarks on the Karen Read case #NowWeWait

14 - Went to my first protest on No Kings Day & just cool to be a part of history #IKnowWhatIStandFor

15 - Happy Fathers Day to my daddy in Heaven #misshimsomuch

16 - Took the day off work to go to the doctor & get some things done & not shocked when the doctor tells me I need to lower my stress #FUNNY

17 - More Bingo with mom & am now knowing people on a first name basis there #IWONTOO

18 - KAREN READ IS NOT GUILTY! #somuchreasonabledoubt

19 - Juneteenth was a day off work but spent the whole day outside because we had no power for the majority of the day & no WiFi the WHOLE day so lots of reading outside. #betterthanworking

20 - After not having a good day the day before & not being able to sleep well in a house with no AC, I was SOOOO thankful to be working from home where I could get an extra hour sleep #MuchNeeded

21 - ..... anddddd we bombed Iran #BoysWithToys

22 - The dogs arent understanding why I wont throw the frisbee for more than 5 throws before I make them come inside #SOHOT #overheating #getintheACnow

23 -  Between my knee & my shoulder, I dont know what hurts worse! #AllTheIcePacks

24 - Love the sun light up early so I can see beautiful views from work before the days get crazy #MorningLouisville

25 - My car hit 100,000 miles!!!! #ShesGrowingUp

26 - Finished a really enjoyable book

27 - Ricky is finishing up his little project where he built a covered area off of our shed in the back #GoodJobHoney

28 - Mom had a little floof ball of a visitor today #SoSweet #SoFluffy

29 - Finished Season 3 finale of Squid Game & just trying to process #WhyaBaby?

30 - So we're now a country that puts human beings in a place surrounded by alligators & dangerous wild life - while also screwing over the habitat..... my God  #WhatInTheHungerGamesIsThis?

My sweet bloggy friend Leslie left me a message & said that now I'm back - am I going to do One Sentence a Day again? ... I mean, I started that EONS ago.  Just one quick snip of the day  & people took the idea & made it their own in a lot of ways & I loved seeing it.  But now... I may do this again - its the perfect memory place.

Plus, I downloaded this fun little app that you can keep a pic a day so this is handy too for memories of the month... so let's give May a try

1 - Thankful for my brother's friend who was able to go to the horses to meet with the ferrier #keepthosenailstrimmed

2 - Covering for a coworker on a Friday makes me so ready for the weekend #TGIF

3 - Spent the day at home watching the Kentucky Derby while Ricky was rocking out in the rain to Metallica in Nashville #ROCKON

4 - Rainy day kept me on the couch all day reading #gloomy

6 - Took the day of to get my car services & pay property taxes & snuck & saw Thunderbolts #greatmovie

12 - Enjoyed a walk at the park for an evening stroll #empty&quiet

13 - No coffee creamer at work forces me to do a Starbucks run #dontmind

20 - Got home from the hospital to beat storms & ended up catching the rainbow that followed #nevergetsold

21 - All the take out from being at the hospital, I actually cooked dinner tonight #mushroomflatbreadpizza

22 - Finally got mom's MRI done & everything looks great! #noissues

23 - Mom got moved to rehab center from hospital #onwardandupward

24 - Went shopping before seeing mom to go pick her up some goodies while she's in Rehab #whodoesntlovenewsocks

25 - A fall like day left me reading a book I've been anticipating for awhile #goodtimetodigin

26 - Memorial Day & the unofficial start of summer is here! #yearwillflybynow

27 - Mom looked so good today when her BFF came & sat with her during the day & got her hair all combed out & braided #settledin

28 - Work from home day let me get up early & watch the last episode of The Handmaids Tale before logging on #DLTBGYD (if you know, you know)

29 -  Got mom loaded back up on snacks & drinks & she looked so good & happy in rehab today #pushingon

30 - Why is it May & still feeling like fall? #chilly

31 - Lots of cleaning, reading & visiting mom #Saturdaytothefullest

One Sentence a Day - December 2023

So I meant to post this on the first but I'm always a blog slacker - & life has been so busy, at work, at home, with my dogs... its just been a lot - so that its up on the 3rd, I'm patting myself on the back.

Also - I wanted to remind people - my sweet friend Jennifer over at Overflowing with Thankfulness is going to continue a link up for Thankful Thursday so if you enjoy doing those posts - be sure to go check her out every Thursday - & all the other days - she does some other fun link ups! 

So here's what December looked like to me:

1. Fri / I havent worked from home in weeks with a busy work schedule & covering for people, so on a rainy, cold Friday, I was more than excited to be back in my home office for the day. #dogslovedittoo

2. Sat /  Finished my first book of December #NeedstobeaHallmarkMovie

3. Sun / Woke up to a lake in our kitchen floor where Ricky was trying to give Zoe at bath at 5:30am #WetDog

4. Mon / When that alarm went off at 5am, I honestly wanted to cry. #WantToSleepIn

5. Tues /  We tried out the diapers for Zoe for the first time & it was a SUCCESS! #savedadogbed

6. Wed / All I could think about was 9pm where the conclusion of The Squid Games Challenge came on Netflix! #happyaboutthewinner

7. Thurs / My poor brother has been feeling awful this week. #Tisthecold/flu/covidseason

8. Fri / I got the most shocking phone call to hear one of my dear friends passed away after surgery complications #RIPKelly 

9. Sat /  Spent most of the evening the ER with Ricky & the pain he was in with kidney stones #atleasttheERwasempty

10. Sun / Just relaxing & letting Ricky try & pass these stones #lazyday

11. Mon /  Had my yearly appointment to get my prescriptions for the year. #lifeofanoldwoman

Yes, I have 2 pairs of glasses LOL

12. Tues / Love everyone is decorating for Christmas in our office #makeitcheery

13. Wed / Love getting my old girl out of her bed & holding her & loving on her. #keephergoing

14. Thurs / Went to the funeral home for my friend & it hit me all over again that she's really gone #unbelievable #loveyourlovedoneseveryday

15. Fri / I needed a work from home day so badly #staycomfy

16. Sat /  It was such a nice day to go shopping & we even sat outside for lunch #Tistheseason

17. Sun /  I love keeping this burning in my house during Christmas to make my home smell like real trees are inside #yankeecandlesaresogood

18. Mon /  one of my work family got me the best surprise for Christmas!!! #hadthisinmycart #LOVELOVELOVE

19. Tues /  We got to reveal our Secret Santa's at work & it was a fun year of elf-ery #sneakygifts

20. Wed / Finished another book for 2023 #bestreadingyear

21. Thurs /  I love me some Kroger Fuel points!!! #onedollaroff

22. Fri /  Finished the work week with over 10 hours overtime #thebusiesttime

23. Sat / Got to spend Christmas with my Vincent Family - minus a few who Covid got ahold of #itseverywhere

24. Sun /  Happy Birthday to my Hubby & my side Christmas celebration #abusyday

25. Mon / I love we enjoy relaxed & easy Christmas days #finallyarelaxingday

26. Tues / Going back to work the day after Christmas is just THE WORST!!! #trafficislightthough

27. Wed / 2 years since I had my TIA & I still remember every little thing about it #onemoreyeartillclear

28. Thurs / My reading life has taken a hit with how busy I am at work. #comehomeanddonothing

12 - Tues / Why is my tooth that has had 2 root canals & 2 crowns put on it hurting again? #iwanttocry

13 - Wed / Tornados hitting around the area had me anxious for my cousins & aunt whose home was around the touchdown site #theyareOK

14 - Thurs / Finally finished the longest book I've read in the longest time. #658pages

15 - Fri / Got my work out in at lunch while at work by taking a walk for 30 minutes downtown #markitoffthelist

16 - Sat / We got our Easter service in at a late service to avoid the crowds #lovedit

17 - Sun / HAPPY EASTER!!!!! #lazyday

18 - Mon / Looked up the price of a new medicine my doctor wants me to try & 15 pills will cost me close to $800!!!! #thatswithinsurance #BIGNOPE

19 - Tues / Found out my niece has COVID ... again... on the same day one, unqualified judge makes the call to stop the mask mandate on public transportation. #letsseehowlongbeforenumbersrise

20 - Wed / Happy Birthday to Julie!!!!!! 

21 - Thurs /  Everything is looking so GREEN!!! #welcomeback

22 - Fri / I got a Work from Home day & I forgot how much I love it #sleepanextrahour

23 - Sat / We went back to the church we went to on Easter & I loved it was even more spacious #givemespacepeople

24 - Sun / If I didnt know it was going to cool off the next day, I would have turned on our AC #SOHOT #near90s

25 - Mon / I'm sorry but Elon musk freaks me out #ew

26 - Tues / Found out my cardiologists that I have been going to since I was a teenager is retiring #allmydocsareleaving 

27 - Wed / A beautiful day to watch my niece play tennis #AceItGirl

28 - Thurs / My bicep tendon is in so much pain, I have been in tears #wwwaaahhhh

29 - Fri / Finally got a PTO day in to just relax #mentalhealthday

30 - Sat / Watched the KY Derby Mini marathon & started a new planner to document the next year to see if I can make it to the start line next year #dreambig
