Favorite Halloween Costume
OK - so this is probably my favorite Halloween costume of the year
... & I love it even more because I love both of these people in this picture
(3 really in this picture - hello baby in the belly)
But sweet Emily doesn't get to miss out on Halloween since she is in a wheelchair. She's got such creative parents that incorporated her wheelchair into a Claw Machine.
Isn't it fantastic!!! Totally a favorite!!!
Heck, I want to sit in the middle of all those stuffed animals myself - fun stuff!

Favorite Food Tip
I've always wanted to try to make my own Spaghetti Squash at home but always afraid of the cutting the thing & putting in the oven (dumb - I know) but BAM - found this & am excited.
A coworker actually tried it already & said it worked perfectly & easily!
Just clean & put in a crock pot:
Place whole squash in slow cooker and cook until soft and easily pierced, about 4 to 5 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low.
- When cool enough to handle, cut in half and scoop out seeds

ReplyDeletecutting and baking squashes in the oven is easy peasy! it just depends on how you want it done and the squash type as well. i like my spaghetti squash baked face-side down with olive oil and sea salt yum!!

I love anything done in a crockpot so even though the oven works just fine for me I may have to try that! Love the creative use of the wheel chair in the Halloween costume! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute costume idea! I love that bookmark, I always scramble to finish a page but I like that idea. Belle still reading to him, swoon.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the spaghetti squash in the crockpot yet but want too. I have struggled too many times trying to cut the darn thing in half to cook in the oven.
ReplyDeleteThe public store gif is so me! Hahahah! That is genius to cook the spaghetti squash in the crockpot because I hate waiting for it to cook in the oven. It takes forever!!!!

I don't have knee pain (I used to, but I only get if I repeatedly run down hills, thanks Air Force), but I hate when I get really intense cramps near the end of my run. So close!! But trying to run with one is like a stabbing pain every step.
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! the little one i nanny for is in a wheelchair and wanted to dress it up. she was a rainbow instead, lol. i don't have co-workers, so i'm lucky there!
