Hodgepodge Day... half way through
1. July is National Anti-Boredom Month. When was the last time you were bored? What's your go-to cure for boredom?
This may sound funny but I felt so bored at work yesterday.
I just wasn't 'feeling it' & wanted the day to get over
2. What's the last thing you made a reservation for?
With 4 dogs, I'm constantly making reservations for dog grooming appointments.
We're not fancy enough to make reservations at a restaurant....
3. What's one thing on your summer bucket list? Any plans to make it happen?
I've never made a summer bucket list in my life...
I guess because summer is just like winter, spring & fall.
Work, work, work
4. What's your favorite summertime sip?
I think most people could answer this for me.
Let's all say it together, shall we?
Peach Green Tea Lemonade
Easiest answer ever for a Hodgepodge question |
5. What do you find is the best way to handle another person's hostility and hopefully ease the tension?
I'm one of those people that just sort of sits & lets people rant & rave & just smile, agree & let them get it out...
I think people just want to be heard.... & then feel so much better afterwards.
6. Your favorite film set in summer?
Dirty Dancing....
Best summer vacation ever for Baby
7. What's a word you're using too much of lately.
I realized JUST this morning alone, I have used the word LITERALLY 3 times.
I so was tempted to say, I LITERALLY used the word LITERALLY 3 times"... but I refrained
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I am so busy lately, I think if I sat down & thought deep about it, I'd either 1. freak out or 2. just cry & never get out of a corner...
Taking it one day at a time
You may busy, but at least you still have your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's me on the last one. I always have time to complain about how busy I am. haha
ReplyDeleteI considered Dirty Dancing, but then chose another.
Ha-love that cartoon! I've never had the peach green tea lemonade. You make me think I should try it.
ReplyDeleteWe had to make reservations a couple times in Mexico, before that not sure :) I can't remember the last time I was bored!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big culprit of over using "literally" , too - I have to hold myself back from using it in every sentence! Hope you get a little break from your busy-ness soon! (So you can be bored :))
ReplyDeleteI feel like you and I are so relate-able...especially with this post! The only time I'm bored is at work because it's mind numbing! I had to take the dogs to the groomer on Monday and never too busy to complain about it :)
ReplyDeleteForgot all about Dirty Dancing, love that movie!!
ReplyDeleteBusy month indeed!
Hugs....
I forgot all about Dirty Dancing which surprises me as the theme song was getting air time when DH and I were "courting", so when I hear it, I'm always reminded of that summer/fall. I love that cartoon ... it's so true of me, too!
ReplyDeleteI overuse literally as well! It's just so easy!! There is a month for everything nowadays and even a day for everything lol!
ReplyDeleteCan you make an appointment for Johnny Cakes to get groomed, too? I keep trying to get him in and they're all booked up... HIS NAILS ARE LIKE EAGLE TALONS! haha
ReplyDeleteI am definitely one of those people who just likes to rant and rave and get it out. I just want someone to care enough to listen. It's awesome that you will be that person for people. It's literally awesome! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love Dirty Dancing, great pick!
ReplyDeleteLove your random....
