We have an escape artist in the family

 Hello everyone!

Happy Thursday!

How is it in our world... still gloomy, cold & still misty. Its moments like this, I feel like the sun doesnt exist anymore.  Its not in our future either for a while. So depressing.

How did my Wednesday go? .... well, I got a phone call while I was driving home after visiting with my mom. "YOU DID IT TOO" - HUH?

Back up till Monday where I look on our camera at home & see Ozzie is laying on our new living room couch! The couch that we keep a gate up during the day to prevent dogs getting on it - or much less destroying it.

Nope - the little 2 year old boy was running on it, laying on it, scratching pillows.... I called Ricky & he said he ran back into the house & Ozzie must have slid by him & he not notice when he put the gate up. Ozzie is notorious for sliding in behind you. He's been locked in my library many times because he really does stay on your heels & you dont notice how slick he is getting in a room.

So when Ricky got home yesterday & found him on the OTHER side of the gate again - I knew something was up.

When I leave in the morning, I give the dogs their "snacky snack" - its an official word - that has a song I sing with it. The dogs know the word - they KNOW the song & they know its Snacky Snack time.  But they sit & wait for the command to get their food when I walk out the door.

Ozzie does not miss Snacky Snack time. Trust & believe!

So I KNOW he was eating when I walked out the door yesterday.

Thank God for Ring cameras.... reverse the time .... & here we go...

This little dude is getting over the fence.

& we watched & he apparently went back to the bedroom & went back to bed. Was back in the bedroom for 2 hours. He wants a snuggly bed I guess.

Funny thing is, he can't seem to know how to get BACK over to go outside. So he is freaking out & whining when we get home.

....& this morning - I've set up a chair to prevent him doing it - Do you know, he is still trying to work around it.

I'll be watching the cameras all day to yell at him if he keeps on.

This little booger!

What else is going on....

Watching... anyone else watch the finale of The Amazing Race? I wont give any spoilers in case you have it recorded but I was excited about it. I loved the final 3 & love when I just dont care who wins because they all seem like good people. & the final leg was in Nashville. So constant scenes where I was like, Been there - seen that.

Mom update:  ... they're still working with her & trying to get her up more - but they STILL dont have her back brace in. Why is this so hard? I can order one off Amazon & have it here in 2 days if they need me too.

Another package ... I got my Vitamin D in.  I've been doing great at taking my Vitamin D every day - need it ESPECIALLY in this weather.  Everyone is low in it it seems but little ole vitamin deficient me - it was like non-existent last time they tested it. I'm curious what taking it every day for a year has done.

So how was your Wednesday?

Do you watch The Amazing Race?

What can I do besides build a door to keep Ozzie from jumping the fence?

Do Bakers have bigger brains?

So how did my Monday go?

One good thing!  We found out the answer to mom's pain.  They found out she has a fracture into her lower back. OUCHHHH!!!! ... & the fracture, the location, is also pushing on her sciatic nerve which is why she's having pain run down her leg too. So this one may take a little bit to heal over.  The physical therapist couldnt believe the hospital didnt put her in a back brace immediately - especially on transport to the rehab center.  I totally get hospitals are overwhelmed right now - but WOW! But I guess this is why they ask people to do what they can to stay healthy so hospitals aren't overran with patients.  Its scary to think of bigger, more serious cases (heart attacks / strokes) that come into the hospital & can get lesser attention.

I'll never in my lifetime forget last December when I had that TIA & that's when the halls were lines with the "VID patients.... They took my vitals & ran a bunch of tests for like the first 30 minutes... & then no one - NO ONE... came in my room for nearly 6 hrs.  My monitors weren't hooked up because they popped off when I was trying to get comfortable ... & no one came to check those either.  There I was all alone, having a mini stroke & no one checked on me. I think about that now & I cry because that's just sad.. & terrifying.  I thank God every day I was healthy enough to get through it.

Anyway - that took a dark turn.... we're glad at least now they have answers for mom & they can start working with her on getting stronger & healthier!

Weather:  This is where the winter depression sinks in.  Yesterday, it was just gray. Like the grayest gray you could imagine.  Drizzly.  Cold. Just the word "DEPRESSION" in weather form. & we're supposed to be like this for awhile. No sunshine. No warmth. Just the perfect atmosphere for any horror movie you'd ever watch.  Add in that it was totally pitch dark by 5:30pm.... & I'm just counting down.  15 more days! We start turning the clocks around to start getting a minute more sunlight.

That I'm excited about one minute more of light... that just describes perfectly how deep this hole of darkness is.

I HATE WINTER!

Watching:  Why do I love all the cooking shows during the Holidays? I'm catching up on the Holiday Baking Championship on Food Network....

& can we say, Jessie Palmer is having a GREAT year - isn't he? Still doing the Baking show gig as well as all the Bachelor franchise shows!  Good for you Jessie Palmer!

I also love when it gets closer to Christmas Day, I start the binging of the Great British Baking Show ... & love the Holiday little version they do too.

I'm just always in awe that these people know these recipes & have all the knowledge of baking them in their heads. How do they remember all that?

I get Hello Fresh & basically get the same 10 meals over & over & I'm still like.... STEP 1.... read & re-read.  & then reread it again.. & measure 3 times before using any ingredient.

But these people are like, sure, let me whip up 20 different cakes, pies, cookies - no problem! Oh, you want me to add in a distant, long forgotten spice that no one has ever tasted - I have just the recipe for that!

Its insane to me.

& I just added a roll of cookie dough onto my grocery order for my holiday baking.

Arrived at my door:

Because is there really anything better?

I have bought more concealer lately (hello 50!) & I've paid good money on it to try things out - & yes, they are nice & I like them - but honestly, this stuff - especially for the price - just does the job well enough for me.

Also got some of these...

LINK

Ricky fills up cups of tea for his drive to work & basically, our cabinet has no cups anymore.  All gone. He'll eventually clean out his car every 3 months & bring them all in & they're so tea stained & gross - toss them. I got these because they're cheap enough & I can replace these easily & still match. But COME ON MAN!

Hint - we've ordered some disposable cups for him for future use.

OVEN UPDATE:  ... So Home Depot is replacing my oven! Not any issues at all. Now, granted, it wont be here until some time in January - but its OK. They told me to keep using this scratched up oven & I'm good with that! Learning how the "What Not to do's" on this one since I get a fresh new one in a month! Thanks Home Depot!

& let's end the day on funny... because again - dark, gloomy, winter

Hope you have a great day!!!!

Appliances 3... Vincent's 0

 Happy Monday everyone!

Yep - I'm here like I've been blogging normally for months now. Trying to force this habit.  Especially since I have my new home office & a big ole monitor - I'm putting it to good use.

How was everyone's weekend?  Mine... a lot of happenings! A LOT!

Friday - my mom got moved to a rehab center. Wait - let me back up.  Wednesday she ended up going to the ER, which was QUITE the nightmare. I went up to go check on her when they told us she was coming home but yet, she couldnt sit up. HUH? How was she even supposed to get in my car?

I'll just give you a little hint of how it went - the nurses yelling at my mom, my mom yelling at me, me yelling at the nurses AND my mom... all in the middle of a hallway because that's where she was laying because the whole world apparently has the flu & is in the ER.  They even had the waiting room transformed to a triage center. Sure - let me, the germaphobe, have to sit in the hallway with people coughing & throwing up everywhere. I'm pretty sure I have died & I am in hell at this point.

Anyways - I finally got a nurse & a doctor to listen to me & they kept mom for observation & she's now in a rehab trying to work on her back & leg issues.

So that's where I spent my Friday...

Mom got in a private room & its HUGE!!! & so comfortable
She's really happy this time having some privacy

We also got a new oven & microwave delivered Friday.  ... only to have the microwave not be able to be installed because of venting issues... & the oven was delivered without any covering on the top of the glass & it had scratches etched DEEP into the glass.

My brother who works with dents & dings at Ford even said he has no idea how those scratches could even occur.  Luck - its called My Luck.

All those white "specks"...they are deep grooves in the glass. HOW?

Saturday, we took the microwave back & they wouldnt give us the Install fee we paid because they needed proof from the delivery guy that they didnt install it.

.... I'm no genius... but we're RETURNING the microwave. I can pretty much guarantee they didnt install it. Sigh.  I have to call today to see if the delivery person "put it in the system" to get the refund. Seriously?

We ended up just buying a hood to go over the new oven.  & let me remind you, I have the equivalent of two broken arms.  Poor Ricky. God bless my husband.  He had to hold it up there & basically do everything himself.  It was tough. It was rough.  It was many chose words.

... & in the end, we ended up with a ding on it. I can't be too mad. I saw the struggle with him putting it in.

My brother asked me if we were going to take it down & get a replacement. I told him that oven hood nearly caused a divorce & I will not put my marriage in the hands of a second hood. It is what is is. Dinged & messed up - its the perfect story of my life & I'll live with it.

So if you're keeping record. 3 new appliances ... all 3, issues & troubles. .

I did call Home Depot about the oven & they are going to give me an option of a replacement, a refund & return, or a discount. Ricky says if its a BIG discount, we'll deal with the scratches. If its not a decent amount to make it a bargain, then we're getting a new one.  & my kitchen will say in shambles with pans laying on my kitchen table instead of the bottom drawer for another week.

What else happened this weekend....

Friday, I stopped at the library & picked up a LOAD of Christmas books.

God bless the library

Over at Everyday Reading, they have a Christmas Reading Advent coloring page where you are supposed to read a Christmas book a night & color in the page. SO WHAT its meant for Children - I'm a kid at heart - & I'm enjoying it.

I got books of all ages. Kids, young adults, adults - I actually like kids books for Christmas. They're fast reads & have good messages. I read one by Richard Paul Evans that choked me up... another one, ticked me off.

Look at this ... body shaming a penguin? I'm not down for this.

& it had wolves in it ready to EAT the penguins... NOPE! & they turned out to be country hick wolves?? Where Penguins live? Dumb.

Look at me being so judgy on a kid's book.

& side note -I put books on hold & took books that had multiple copies so I didnt take all the kids books at Christmas to ruin little one's holidays.

On the Shopping front... what got delivered this weekend?

These couch arm covers... because trying to keep our new couch not being taken over by the dogs. We put it on & the dogs havent even cared to drap themselves over the edge. SUCCESS!

Click Pic for link

Speaking of dogs... I've been seeing this scraper for awhile & wanted to try it. A new rug & new couch made the perfect excuse to try it.

Click on pic for link

HOLY COW - this thing grips HARD getting the hair up. I used it on my basement stairs & it pulls up everything!!!! I'm too afraid to use it on my new couch just yet because its SUPER grippy. But I'll use it on pillows & my rugs for now.

What did I watch this weekend....

I finished up Wednesday.

I love the little take of the Adam's family on it & glad they left it open for more episodes in the future.

I need to get started on Firefly Lane & Dead to Me.... as well as the Great Britan Bakeoff~

& just for fun...let's end the day on a funny!

How was your weekend?

What are you binging lately on Netflix?

Do you have scratches on your glass top oven?

Thursday, December 01, 2022

Hi, its me! I'm the problem, its me!

Lookie here who is posting! Its a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

I really do miss blogging... & then I dont. But I do. Isn't that weird? I know bloggers will understand it.

But I really have missed all my blogging friends & check in often & really stay caught up on IG.

I miss documenting my life more than anything... mainly for me.

& where did we leave off last? Oh yeah! Good MRI results. & I think I made a comment about how horrible it would be to have two bad arms at the same time.

JOKES ON ME! SO FUNNYYYYYYY....because it was literally that same week, I've pulled my rotator cuff tendon in my other arm because I've ben overcompensating & feeling like, "I can still do everything - no problem. Look at me! I'm Super Woman!".... yeah. Not so much.

I was helping Ricky push something, using the one arm (how dumb as I?) & yepppp.... Pain - instant pain!

So yes - I now have two bad arms.

Can I tell you how horrible life has been with this! & the frozen shoulder in my bad arm is flaring up big time lately too. I dont know if things are "unfreezing" & that's the pain. But in the morning when I wake up, I literally cant move my right arm & it takes like an hour to get it movable. It's a different kind of pain during the day now. I can do things a little bit better, but I'm still limited. I mean - they told me it would be a year to 3 years (!!!!) & its just about 11 months - so long road ahead. But I'm over it. So totally over it.

I'm basically just falling apart.

But anyhoo.... Happy December!

Let's do a quick recap of what's going on lately in better news:

.... we got a new living room set up.  Our first sectional. I'm not sure how I feel about it. When we got it in the house, I cried. Totally cried. Hated it. Told Ricky I want them to take it back!  But its growing on me. It just takes up a LOT of space in our living room.  & nothing matches with all of our old decor.  I bought new curtains to hang - & I need new pictures.  But we got a new rug that is beautiful with it & I think in the end, I'll get used to it.- guess I really dont have a choice, do I?

One thing you should know about me as an Enneagram 6 - I HATE change. Dont do well with it at all - & this is big time change.  Maybe that has something to do with it.  ... I'll post pictures when I get my living room finished with new curtains & pictures & all the pretty stuff.

_______________

... I had to have another MRI - on my head. Nearly a year after my mini-stroke, I finally got in with a neurologist & can i say, this m an was MADE to be a doctor. He sat in the room with me for an HOUR & 25 MINUTES! No joke! I didnt know doctors did that! But he was so kind & reassuring & just gave all the attention to me.  I'm still having headaches & I've been dealing with Vertigo since September (that's been a nightmare) so he sent me for an MRI that showed a little more than when I was in the hospital.

Call me MRI queen! First with my shoulder & then with my head. Bringing back all the tanning booth feels of the 90's!

But, everything looked OK. There were some finding in there but he said that can be found with people with migraines. Yep - apparently, I'm a migraine person now. Never had migraines in my life until the past year.  I guess I can thank perimenopause/menopause for that too. Gah!

______________

... I've been having to go to Physical therapy for vertigo! Did you know that was a thing?  They basically do the thing you see on  YouTube videos where they lay you upside down on a table & move your head around.

My vertigo has been so bad, when I lay down- or back - my eyes even jiggle back & forth. I have gotten spouts of vertigo through the years but they usually last like 24-48 hours & then I'm fine. Having vertigo for months... not so fine.

It gets worse when I lean over - which is basically every minute of my day at home with picking up Zoe to take outside - or loading the dishwasher - or picking up laundry - or doing basically ALL the household chores. Seriously - pay attention to how often you lean over in a day - you'll be amazed.

It also gets bad when I lean my head back. So washing your hair & getting soap out? Yep - spring on the vertigo. & do you really want to spin around when you're naked & wet on slippery surfaces?

... welcome to my life...

______________

On a good note - I'm still loving my planners & all things stickers.

...I started a Bookstagram account on Instagram if you want to follow for my reviews & latest reads - Right HERE at RebeccaJoReads

... I redid my home office & am loving it! (maybe I dont mind SOME change) - I need to take some pictures of it.

....& I've been thinking about my future with blogging.

I know I've said it before - but having the time away, I really do think I'm going to be doing blogging differently.

I know we've had that discussion before - where blogging has taken a turn where its almost "influencer driven" & I just am not about that. I've been blogging too long to monetize my blog to anything fancy spancy.

& I cant deal with the stress of keeping up on link ups & the latest hot topic posts... not to say I'm shunning everything - but honestly - I think my blog is going back to the basics. Total bear bone basics. Just day by day things.

You may find a book review on a given day.
You may hear my thoughts on a news or entertainment topic
You may find just a picture of my day, or of my dogs or of whatever amused me for the day... a BeReal of blogs! (anyone on BeReal?)
... & I'm going to share what I buy on a consistent basis. Instead of doing a monthly Amazon post - because COME ON - Amazon LIVES at my house & I can never keep up with all the purchases - I may just do posts weekly, if not daily, on what I buy.

All that to say - CHANGES... changes have been happening to me - they're going to change on my blog. Hope all my blog friends stick around - because I miss you! & hopefully, I'll meet more too!

Happy December - let's finish this year & look forward to a new year!

The MRI Results are in.... {Thankful Thursday}

Well, look at me hosting Thankful Thursday. I havent done this since June! Holy cow! I'm first of all so thankful for Jen & how she's picked it up &kept the ball rolling.  Jen is out enjoying a break this week so I told her I'd be more than happy to make sure the link up was still up.

... & this works out perfectly because I have some great news to share!

My MRI Results came back on Tuesday & when I saw the doctor's office come up on my phone - I literally held my breath as I said, "HEEEELLLLLOOO????"

The nurse was on the phone & said, "We have your results....."

I never felt more like I was on the show of Maury in my life!

Gripping my desk, I didnt even hear the first few words out of her mouth - I only heard what came next - NON-SURGICAL!

YES YES & YES!!!!!

Only - I cant get my arm up like this
....but I did in my mind!!!!

Then - it gets stupid... of course it does.

She then said, "So you need to come in & get a steroid shot". ... Wait. Didnt we clarify after my last shot where my tongue swelled up & everything tasted like metal that I shouldnt have any more steroid shots?

She goes & talks to the nurse practitioner & then comes back & then puts me on hold again & then comes back & then puts me on hold again.... to only come back  & say, "Did you want to talk to the NP?"... Um, Yeah, I think that would be best.

She gets on the phone & tells me that yes, I have a tear in my rotator cuff - but its not significant enough for surgery. There is a lot of bursitis & of course, tendonitis, which I knew about.  & she said, the thing causing my issue is "Adhesive Capsulitis"... which is just a fancy pancy way of saying "Frozen Shoulder'

Which, how bad could that be with a cute little Disney shout out in the name?

OHHH - it can be really bad.

I found out the word "Adhesive" is used in this because its just as you think... its like everything is STUCK together in there! Gorilla Glue joints!

She went on to tell me that the thickening in my joint is severe & can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 YEARS to heal... YEARSSSSS people! What in the world?

But... no surgery!

& if you look it up, it will explain how painful it is, & can be. & its just bizarre!

It can take months for it to START to freeze... & then even LONGER for it to actually be FROZEN... & then another year or longer to "Thaw"... My Lord - this is just nuts.

The good news - once it heals, its very rare it every happens again......

....in that arm...

Odds are high you'll get in 5 years in the OTHER arm.

OH NO - NO YOU DONT... I'll be swinging my other arm every freaking day to keep it from freezing up.

The crazy thing - you dont really get to control it - its not something that you do -it just "happens". Reassuring.

So I guess just in time for one arm to thaw, the other has time to freeze. OMG - Can you even imagine if they both did it at the same time? .... I literally shook with a chill of terror.

Where am I now.... I still cant raise my arm behind me. I still cant put on a bra normally. I still have issues washing my hair & pulling up my pants... BUT I dont have to have surgery. That makes everything bad right now so much more tolerable.

So while this does have some things that seem ho-hum & not very cheery, I'm still so thankful I dont have to go under & deal with a painful surgery & healing - & having to deal with taking off work & bills & just everything awful with surgery.

My pickelball days are still ahead of me! Wayyyy ahead of me - but still! I'll take it!

Hodgepodge

Click button to join in with Joyce & the other Hodgepodgers

1. Volume 478. Sounds like a lot. Where were you in 1978? If you weren't born where were you in 2008?

1978... so I was around 6 years old. First grade. Wow! The days of big collars, wide leg jeans & always wanted a comb in my back pocket like my big brother.

2. Raise your hand if you remember records playing at a speed of 78 rpm? What's a topic that when it comes up you 'sound like a broken record'?

I used to have the cutest little yellow record player in my room growing up - until I got my own stereo when I was a young teenager... I played some Whitesnake & Paula Abdul albums. Does that tell you how old I am? & how varied my taste is?

3. What's the last thing you recorded in some way?

I am always recording all the Real Housewives on our YouTube TV mainly so I can watch it & fast forward through commercials.  Its become my weekend wake up show - lay in bed & watch the latest episode.  Or as Hubby says, "wake up to a bunch of grown women screaming about nothing"... he's got a point.

4. Thursday is the first day of fall (in the northern hemisphere). How do you feel about the changing seasons? Something you're looking forward to this fall?

Fall is my FAVORITEEEEE! So excited its here!  I just look so forward to my hair not frizzing the second I walk out of the door! & cool mornings & evenings... THE BEST!

I seriously cant believe we're going into the last quarter of the year though - wh-wh-WHAT?

5. In what way (or ways) are you like the apple that didn't 'fall far from the tree'?

I feel like my dad's worth ethic - that's the one thing that me & my brother are both the same & learned from him. Totally didnt fall far from that "work your hardest no matter what" tree.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

It is in the 90's here today... but its like Mother Nature knows the first day of fall is happening because we're getting a storm in & then our temps drop. The high over the weekend - the 70's! The high on Monday - in the high 60's! WHAT? ... OHHH YES! where are my cozy sweaters & joggers at!

The weekend that we watched our girl

Coming in a day late for a weekend re-cap - but hey... at least its a post!

This is one big reason why I havent been blogging - mainly because my life has made a turn that puts me in left field of the BORING.

Since not doing photography any more & since my youth kids have all graduated & moved on & I'm not in Youth Ministry after 20 years of working with kids ... & basically since Covid of 2020, I'm just a lazy bum - sticking with my dogs & books.

There's my weekend - Bye y'all!

... nah... I'll dig in deeper to my boredom with highlights - just for you!

Miss Zoe
Thursday night, we got a little concerned.  Zoe didnt want to eat.  She'll do that every now & then - but we could just tell she wasn't feeling good. Friday, I work from home, & we made her an egg. Her absolute favorite! ... & she didnt want to eat it.  UH OH... Then we started breaking out everything bad for her.  & she wouldnt eat one bite.

She went to the restroom & her belly was revolting too... it was bad. & we got VERY VERY concerned.  I basically held her all night Friday in a blanket & wrapped her up.  I went to the store & got her some chicken & she did nipple on it - that was 48 hours since she had previously ate.

Saturday, she still looked like she felt bad.  & she still didnt want eggs.  But we had some chicken left over & she started eating it a little better.

By Saturday night - she was starting to eat more... & by Sunday, she was back to eating normally. WHEW! Scared us to death! ... I dont know what happened. If she just got something bad to eat?

Our little Muppet

I mean, I know - she's like the Queen. Why were we shocked when a woman in her late 90's passes away?... Zoe is now 17 years old!!! Its like we should prepare ourselves that any day could be the turn for her... but we're used to Bruno making it to 20. Our Pandora made it to 18 as a big Aussie... we just expect our dogs to make it long spans!

But today is a new day & she's still going at it - so we'll take good days with her every chance we can.

Finished one book
Friday night, sitting outside with Zoe, I ended up finishing this book.

The Measure - its about the world one day waking up & everyone over the age of 22 having a box. Inside that box is a string - which tells you how long the measure of your life is. & you watch as basically the world deconstructs... hey - is this fiction or non-fiction?

It was OK for me.  Most people LOVE this book... I really loved the first half & it fell flat the last half for me. I wanted more. But still enjoyed it. I gave it ***3 stars.

Started a new book
I had stopped at the library to pick up a book I had on hold... & saw this & grabbed it. I love this author & I am so into this book. I got half way through & wish I were home right now to finish it up!

Baked a Cake
Hubby was wanting something sweet & since everything in the Bakery at the grocery is grossly overpriced right now - I told him to pick something & I'd bake it. I made just a basic white cake with chocolate icing - & he seemed to enjoy it. I dont know what I did wrong - it tasted strange to me. Like I used too much oil or something? I dont know. More cake for Hubby though.

Did my first Obe class
I have been looking for a new workout to do at home. I'm so totally over Beachbody since most of their programs either 1. dont have music - or 2. their music is so cheesy... I NEED music. I love my Les Mills that I've been doing for awhile but I just wanted something new.

You have to Cast this to your TV, which I thought, nope - I'm not tech savvy for this - but got it set up & did 3 classes already. I think I'm going to enjoy it - especially doing those live classes with others - just made it fun waiting for my name to be shout out on the screen!

Tried watching Jurassic Park
... but that was a nope for me. I'm sorry - I know - I KNOW - they're not real. DINOSAURS ARE NOT REAL... but I cant handle when animals are hurt - even in books & movies. I wont watch a movie with animals because you just know there's going to be something tragic happen. So when the first 5 minutes, poachers are taking sweet dinosaurs to kill for their bones... nope - outta here. Aint doing it.  Where's DINO PETA when you need them?

Fighting the Ground Hornets
& speaking of hurting animals....They have taken over! & Hubby has been in a battle now for nearly 2 weeks. This week, things got serious. He has burned their home - got their nest out.... but yet, they keep coming back!!!  He keeps burning more &  more of the grass... & now the ground hornets have moved to ANOTHER big hole.. so we've had 2 firepits going.... & yet, they STILL are surviving. Its really bizarre!  They're like little robots that just wont go away! Hubby has gotten stung a few times already!  They're going to remember his face! ... I keep reminding him, its nature- he's invading THEIR space.  Its a battle between the two... or I should say a battle between Hubby & a few hundred stinging warriors.

This used to be beautiful grass... & now is a huge eye sore... full of swarming stinging creatures!

& that's the most exciting stuff... dont be jealous!

What's your favorite thing to bake?

What do you do for a workout?

Did you watch the last Jurassic Park?

Friday Favorites

Favorite Bag

Yep - this is actually me  & my janky arm on the left... that's how high I can raise it! BOO!... but this bag is the CUTESTTTT!!!! At work, we were out at a food truck & I saw someone with a similar bag. A coworker asked where she got it & she said Etsy & I had this ordered by the afternoon. & had it at my house 3 days later!
It actually holds more than you'd think. I put my wallet, my keys, my phone (which is a clunker) & it still has room.

I wish I could link it - but they're sold out from where I got mine.

Here's a link for a similar one!

Favorite Hooks

They hold up to 30 lbs... & I love how beautiful & simplistic they are!

Favorite Beauty & the Beast

This is a badge holder!!!! Isnt it the cutest little thing.
I'm VERY tempted to get it. I'm just afraid I'll bang it up... but it'll be cute until I did bump it too many times!

Favorite Lights

This is a WIRELESS library light that you can put over top of anything!
A picture.. over your bed with two over top of each side...
I'm even thinking over top my coffee bar for those dark early mornings!

AND... it turns on with a remote control!

Favorite Floor Helper

I have seen this at my hair stylest salon & ever since, I've wanted one.
You just sweep all the Yuck up to it & it like sucks it in...  you dont need a dust pan or have to bend over. Like magic. & then you just empty the container!

With all the times I have to sweep with the dogs, this would be like a miracle.

Favorite Sneakers

I am on the hunt for yellow sneakers.
I had a pair years ago that were my favorite... I even bought another pair of them when they wore out... but they quit making them & I've been on the hunt ever since. These are a little muted than the ones I had before - but they have such good reviews... & a good price too.

Favorite Drying Rack

I really feel like this is a product if I got, it would be like, "how did I live without this?" ... perfect for washing produce & putting on there - or even washing a few dishes & letting it hand over the sink to dry... I even see in the reviews, someone puts how pots on it to cool!!!
