251 / Staring new workout program
... well, its not really new - but its new to start over again. I've read up where weight training is best for perimenopause/menopause women in their 40's or older so while I thought I was going to start running again, I think I need to start with this & get toned up first..So welcome back Hammer & Chisel program!

252 / Busy day at work
Dont you love a busy day sometimes? To me, it makes the day ZOOM by super fast.

253 / Art work break
My work place is amazing at working with charities & right now, they've been about supporting the Funds for the Arts. They've done the coolest things with it:  A competition with coworkers to bring in their art & everyone could vote on it, a contest for people to dress up like their favorite artist or painting & they even had an ice cream social & we were able to work on a piece of art ourselves.  Of course, when I got the paint brush in my hand to work on it - they virtually had to pry it from my hands. I could have done the whole thing myself. Me & modge podge are basically best friends.

255 / Hot Chocolate break
OK... y'all, I'm not even making this stuff up - my work IS indeed this awesome. So after the ice cream break the day before - we also got a bunch of snow dumped on us - so what does work do? They give us hot chocolate & bagels & muffins.  It was the BEST hot chocolate too.  Made the cold & snowy day entirely bearable.

256 / Sun out after snow
We had nearly 8 inches of snow dumped on us & the sun came out & started melting it quick. While I didnt care for the mud pit my back yard became, I also didnt mind for the white stuff to go away fast.

260 / Bible study at lunch
I've been taking my Bible Study with me to work & doing it during lunch & have really enjoyed knowing I have a full hour to dedicate my time to it.  I get distracted at home with dogs or chores or things I remember I need to do - but at work, I can really zone out & just focus on my bible study. It's been nice.

261 / Work celebration
OK.... SERIOUSLY... I didn't mean to have 3 things from work on here this time - it just is what it is.... but I loved that we had a coworker who had good results from a medical test & our department celebrated with Krispy Kreme donuts. He was so excited & thrilled & it was contagious to see the relief & joy on his face.

263 / Banker
I know most people dont really care for their banker, or may not even know their banker - but we have the best one. She's adorable - & so personable.  & she's a Disney addict & when she knew we had an appointment with her this past week, she wore Mickey Mouse leggings & said she wore them just for me. I told her if I knew that, I would have wore my Minnie Mouse leggings.

265 / Internet fixed.
Praise the Lord. Let's hope (fingers crossed) it sticks. I am always leery of such things.

266 / Movies at home
Honestly, I am almost happy just waiting for movies to come out so we can watch them on our TV ... they make them so nice with the HD & its just comfortable to be able to pause & start when you want & run to your own kitchen for a snack without paying $25.00 for a pretzel & drink.... just saying.

I loved getting another week to talk about all things Bible Journaling with the middle school kids - & even more thrilled to see that some of it really clicked with some kids.  That makes me so excited to think that they just grow in this way of worshiping & studying God's word.

Worried About ...
Ernie gets neutered on Friday & I'm a nervous wreck about it. He's never been away from us & the whole being put under anesthesia just puts me on edge.  & just hoping the surgery goes well & he heals quick. If you feel like lifting a prayer - & I get its for a dog - its still my baby - I'd appreciate it.

Watching....
Life Sentence.  I just ran across it on my Direct TV Now & started watching the first 3 episodes & found it really cute & funny. Excited to see how the season goes.

Drinking....
I'm sort of addicted right now to the Black & White Mochas from Starbucks. Hmmm....

Excited for...
Easter. I love Easter. Like its my favorite Holiday.

Crafting....
Trying out a new pattern for some Caron Cake yarn that I've had for probably a year.

Feeling....
Hot.
Not in a good way either.
Hot flashes are killing me lately. Especially in the middle of the night & in the morning when I'm getting ready. This isn't going to be fun if this is going to get worse or last for years.

Hating....
Mud. All the mud.  Specifically all the mud on dog's feet.

Smelling....
Cashmere Woods air freshener from the automatic sprayer - I think its Glade. These things are awesome. I have ours set to shoot the spray every 9  minutes. It makes a huge difference. It's probably slowly poisoning me too, but at least it is a good smelling poison.

Listening to....
Dogs growling at one another over a peanut butter jar. Good times

Craving...
A Cadbury Egg. Y'all... Y'ALL!!!... I havent eaten one stinkin' egg this year. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE????

Am I a ray of sunshine?

I remember the days when Blog Awards were going around everywhere... that was super fun.

So how excited was I when I saw a new one is going around & I received it from the incredible & awesome Audrey Louise (& I'm sorry I like calling her that - as I like Rebecca Jo. A southern girl loves using middle names)

Here are the questions that have been sent my way... & I love a good question  & answer session - so here we go...

1) If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with that time?
I'm sure I wouldn't use it for anything productive like I should. i'd probably spent it watching TV or knitting.  #truth

2) If you were transported to another decade, which decade would you choose?
So many different things go in this - like I'm thinking what fashion would I like - what kind of music would I be into - what would my personality fit into?  & I think about a different decade for each.  But I did love the 80s & would love to go through that again.

3) What’s something you wish you knew more about?
Money... like all the sort of ways to invest money.  Like the way people say let your money make money - that sort of stuff. I'm just good at knowing how SPEND money.

4) Would you rather live in a castle, mountain cottage, seaside bungalow, or Beverly Hills mansion?
A castle sounds cold... but also very fairy tale like...
A mountain cottage sounds so charming... but I think of the car sickness to get to it....
A seaside bungalow sounds like sand is involved ... & sand is torture to me - IT NEVER GOES AWAY.... EVER....
& a Beverly Hills Mansion sounds fancy... but I've seen how the Real Housewives end up in cat fights & I dont want that in my life...
... so I'm just going to go with my little home I'm already in. (Can you tell I'm an indecisive kind of person?)

5) What’s a food that you hated as a kid and love as an adult?
Brussels Sprouts. I LOVE them now... & probably would have felt like it was pure torture to eat them as a kid.

6) Are there any “mythical creatures” (big foot, unicorns, ghosts) that you believe in?
I'm not sure. I tend to think that ghosts COULD be real - maybe? I've watch a lot of shows on haunted houses & I'm a sucker for those things.... & could Big Foot be real?  Whose to say no? ... this is making my brain hurt & making me question my life & beliefs in it. Too much pressure.

7) What is something about you that people think is weird?
Probably my obsession with Beauty & the Beast as a 46 year old.  Do I care? HA... where's my Belle Dress?

8) If you had to move out of your city/town, where would you choose to live?
I always said I wouldn't mind living in Nashville. The only thing I hate about Nashville is that time change - when the Daylight Savings happens & its dark at like 4pm there. You might as well poke hot forks in my eyes. But I love Nashville.

9) What’s your favorite television channel?
I think I'm pretty simple - I tend to watch ABC more than anything. Old school, basic TV, local station kinda girl.

10) What is your favorite dessert food?
I am all about an apple pie.  MMMM.... saying that, its rare there's a dessert that I would ever turn away.

11) What’s your favorite kind of writing to do? (i.e. blog post, creative, letter, etc.)
Since I've been blogging for over 11 years, I guess I'll go with that since it just feels like part of my world as a natural thing.  .... maybe that's the answer to my weird thing for #7's answer.

So the rules of an award - which I've always been bad at - is to pass it on & ask new questions. My problem, I'm usually late to this game & the people I would send it to have already gotten it from other bloggers & plus, I'm not great at coming up with new questions - as you can see, I double guess every question I come across... so all that to say, I think ALL YOU BLOGGERS are amazing at what you do - so feel free to grab any of the awesome questions Audrey Louise came up with & play along!!!!

The weekend we got a four legged visitor....

Didn't the calendar say it was Spring some time ago?

.... yeah... I'm not sure I believe it.

It was still cold in our parts & I dont think the sun exists anymore either.

SO MUCH RAIN... & it was so cold that it was even sleeting for the longest time on Saturday.

I'M SO OVER IT!!!!!!!  I NEED SPRING!!!!!!

OK - enough of my little fit. 

I think we're at least going to be in the 50's this week....still more rain... but I'll take anything over 30 degrees.

& I guess I should never complain about a weekend. Right? Weekends are glorious no matter what the weather. I'll stop my whining now.

Friday started off with my usual Click List & Mobile Starbucks order.  My exciting Friday.

Except this Friday, we did have some excitement. A visitor.  We have one of my brother's dogs for the week while they are Spring Breaking... & I'm a little jealous that people get Spring Break. I never realized how good I had it during those school years.

I wasn't sure how Charlie was going to do with Ernie - or more so, how Ernie was going to do with Charlie.  It's been going OK. Of course, we have to watch it because when any jealousy can happen - like sitting on the floor & loving one of the dogs, it can send everyone in a frenzy - so we're just playing NO FAVORITES this week... & hoping all the peace is kept that way.

Saturday, we woke up to our wireless repairman knocking on the door... Yep - we over slept. Or more so, Ricky went back to bed & I woke up when the knocking happened at 8am. Who ever expects a repairman to be on time that early? ... needless to say, he was our hero because he got all of our wireless running again smoothly (knocking on some major wood right now)

We had to run down to the bank to talk to our awesome banker & it was just so yucky out. The coldest rain.  UGHHHH - so we stopped afterwards to pick up some warm drinks & picked up a pizza so we didnt have to go back out for the rest of the day.

The weather was so un-motivating for anything. I needed to work out. I needed to clean. I needed to do laundry.  I just basically stayed out in my spot & watched some Directv Now. I figured it was doing a service to our household by me trying out our new wireless to the fullest extent.  That's the excuse I'm using for my laziness. 

We ended our night by having a movie night tucked in at home.  I can't believe we hadn't seen Justice League yet but we both really liked it. I mean, super hero movies have a bit of a corny side to them, but I am all about Superman... & we loved The Flash in it.  I actually really liked all the characters.

 

Sunday, I got to teach another week of bible study to some youth kiddos again.  The MOST PRECIOUS thing ever though - one of the girls that came to the class last week, she asked if she could show me something.  Of course. She pulled out all these cards that she bible journaled through the week.  SO STINKIN' CUTE!!! & she told me that she told her mom all about it & they went to the Dollar Store together to get stickers & some stencils & some markers & she said that they did it every day together.  OK - EVEN MORE ON THE CUTENESS!!!!! & she said that she looked so forward every night doing this with her mom.  I think I may have teared up at this.

My prayer in teaching this was honestly just to reach one kid ... to let one person maybe connect with God in a new way of spending time in God's word.  That this sweet girl shared this with me made my entire day.

I ended up having another great time though going through what Bible Journaling is & why you should do it.... though I will say, the 2nd service, I had more boys than girls & knew this would be a tough group to sell it too... guys can totally do it, but I dont think its cool to play with markers & stickers & washi tape.  Even if they wanted to, I dont think they would.  But you never know.  Maybe someone takes what they heard & do something with it one day.

I left from church & headed over for some Joyster time.  Our talk this week was on the Storms in our lives & how Jesus gets us to the other side of the storm. It's funny how, as women, we do all we can to just live in a denial world when it comes to storms. It's like we dont want to ask for help, because we're just used to living in chaos or turmoil & think that's the normal way of things.... which really, storms ARE always a normal part of life - but the way we handle them can always be worked on.
All that to say, it's always a great time laughing & crying with my wonderful Joyster gang.

I left from there to pick up some things for my parents & to pick up some dinner for Ricky & I & ended up getting home after a long day.  But what a great day it was ....

& I had just a few hours before it was time to get ready for the week ahead so it was a lot of loving on doggies .... & picking up dog poop in the back yard. The life of having 5 dogs in your home at once.  Good times.
