#Skirtember

I usually do a weekend wrap up...

But it was just sorta the regular weekend.  Pictures, pictures & more pictures...

It was cool though because it was a family that I got to do last year.  This year?  The momma has a baby bump!  A total surprise... but this family is so incredible, a new addition is just going to make them even MORE incredible...

But I wanted to jump into something I've been doing all September - since its the last day of the month.  (Can anyone else believe that?... where is the time going!??!?!)

The cool lady over at Kristens Knook decided to put together the idea of skirts for September... Skirtember...aren't creative people the greatest?

I love skirts... always have... especially the style this year with the maxi skirt being back...

this is kinda true actually
So I decided to see how it would go.  Forgo the pants & see what I could come up with.  I was actually surprised to know I had enough skirts/dresses to make it through the time.  I think I only used 2 skirts twice...

& I ended up wearing skirts Monday - Thursday.  Friday at work is casual Friday & I'm not about passing up a chance to wear jeans at work when I can.  Though, dang it, I forgot... I could of wore my blue jean skirt one time.  Drats!

So here's a look at my skirts for Skirtember...

Love my dress on the first day
Excuse the hair on 9/5 ...

Take note on 9/10... my hair was taken over by my hair dresser... ahhh

There really is nothing better then knit skirts... long or short...

Yes, I actually own 5 black skirts, long & short...
9/26 was my first time using the same skirt... made it so far!

& I actually wore a skirt to church yesterday & didn't grab a picture... but it's the same outfit as 9/19... so just imagine that one all over...

& then today...

One last hurrah!!!

17 days of skirts & dresses!!!!

It was really fun & COMFY actually...

I think there is nothing better then skirts & flip flops....

But next up, skirts with leggings & boots!!!  Bring it on...

I'm just anxious to see what I wear tomorrow on October.. pants or another skirt?  I may have a new habit...

& this habit may be feed with an online visit to Old Navy ... don't tell the Hubs :)

Five on Friday - its an App kinda day..

Screen Shot 2013-06-14 at 2.31.52 PM

I just uploaded a new app & it made me think to do a top five of my favorite apps I use...& note, I'm not a cool iPhone person.  Just a regular Android user... so don't judge me.  I'm not that awesome.

{ONE} Cartwheel by Target

Its an app that you load & then you can go on & add coupons for Target.  Target people!  The best place to find everything you could ever want.  Besides Amazon - but that's online - so a different category.  You just load up the coupons & then bring your phone to the store with you, let the cashier scan the little fancy-scanny-thing (I'm so technical) & you get the discount.  Top that off with the Red Card, which saves 5% on everything.  I don't know why anyone that shops at Target wouldn't have one of those.  Its just a debit card... but it gets you 5% off everything.  Ricky & I are amazed at how much we've already saved there for the year.  Just wait till Christmas!  .... But you can even view the coupons online if its easier to do then on your phone.  I'm excited to save more money at Target... since they get 47% of my paycheck anyways.

{TWO} My Calendar

Sorry fellas - this one is strictly for the ladies.  I think its also renamed & is called "Period Calendar".  I love this app.  Not only does it track all the lovely female stuff, but its just a good health tracker.  It keeps track of symptoms you have daily & I love that it has a note field where you can write things down.  I actually use it as well to track how bad my Bicep Tendonitis pain is, or any other health issue going on.  You can also have the info sent to your email so you can print it off if you ever need to take it to the doctor.  I also like the little reminder that goes off on my phone that tells me I have 3 days until my next period.... like my angry, crying, sleepy emotions didn't tell me that :)

{THREE} Accuweather

I check this app out a few times a day.  I think its the best weather app there is.  It will give you the daily info, the future forecast, but I love the breakdown by hour.  It's pretty good too.  Being a photographer, I have used it many a time to see when the rain is going to hit & when its going to clear.  I've known it to be really accurate.  I've used it for running, to know what outfits to wear & the most important, how to style my hair for the day!  Ladies all just said, "Amen" ... but you can use it to track other locations.  So I'll use it to track a location where I'm doing pictures, or at home... or when we go to Nashville, I can change the weather to that location so I know what to look forward to.  This is just the weather nerd in me showing.  I've always been a little obsessed with meteorology.  Missed my calling.

{FOUR} Aviary

This is my favorite photo editing app.  I believe its free, but the add on's are not.  The different edit features.  But they are only $1.99 to add on & I think I've added on at least 5 of them.  Great cropping, contract, brightness tools.  Even a tool to clean up blemishes on the face.  Stickers & neat frames.  It has it all.... & easy to use.  I get excited whenever they release new effects because I'm a sucker for them.  Being a photography geek, I love playing with pictures on there & seeing what I can do.

{FIVE} Starbucks

This app gets used a lot as well.  I'm finding a lot of people don't know it exists or know how it works.  Its wonderful.  You just put it on your phone, plug in your Starbucks card number & then its there & you're all set.  I have mine set to when my balance gets below a certain amount, it automatically uploads & adds more funds. I never have to worry about not getting my Starbucks fix in.  I also love it keeps tracks of your "stars" you get when you are striving for that gold card. (I'm only 3 away!) But my favorite thing?  How easily you can pay for your order.  Don't even need your card anymore.  Just scan your phone & bam!  Finished.  I think the whole world is going to turn to this in paying for purchases soon... Mark my words...

_________________

So any apps that you use a lot?  Let me know... & remember again, I'm a poor Android user... don't tell me something that's awesome that only iPhone has.

What can't you live without on your phone?  A MUST HAVE!!!

& of course, this isn't all.  I'm an app fan... lots of games (I can play Spades for HOURS on my phone), have tv schedules at a swipe of a finger & of course, Instagram is an all time fav, but that's a given for everyone anymore - right?  I'm RebeccaJoKnits on there - look me up & send me your Instagram name.  Y'all know I love pictures!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

The Servant...

Picture the scene... a wedding...

Everyone loves a wedding.  So much fun, so much celebrating, so much dancing & partying... if you go to the right wedding that is...

dancing (3020) Animated Gif on Giphy

Have you ever been at a wedding, or any big event really, where the food ran out.  GASP.  I always get a little sad when food runs out - no matter where I'm at.  Could even happen over Onion Rings in a Burger King for me...

So I'm reading where Jesus & his mom are just hanging out at a wedding in John 2 when the most embarrassing thing happens.  No more wine.

These must be big time party people...

I love that Mary looks over to Jesus & tells him the situation.  "They have no more wine" (John 2:3)

& it actually makes me laugh at Jesus reaction, "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" (John 2:4)

Doesn't that sound like a man?

Don't ask me to step in... leave me out of it... its not my problem...

Oh Jesus... this is your mother speaking... not just any woman. You listen to momma.

& now for some reason, I've got the song from Tangled "Momma Knows Best" in my head...
Side Note... Tangled is in my top 5 all time favorite Disney movies...
side note over

But then Jesus says, "my time has not yet come"

Mary doesn't say, "OK" & just shrugs her shoulders & walks away.  Nope - she goes over to the servants & tells them, "Do whatever he tells you" (John 2:5)

Isn't that bold?  Didn't Jesus just tell say that its not his time?  & Mary just trust anyways.  She doesn't know what's going to happen, but she knows Jesus can do something & she trusts that he will... & so she tells the servant to just do whatever Jesus says.

Jesus gives instructions to that servant... & the servant does as Mary told him - he listened to Jesus... he did as a servant is supposed to do.  He obeyed.

So we know the rest of this story .... jars were full of water, & that water turned into the best tasting wine these people ever tasted.  Pretty darn cool...

But this is the part that stood out to me in this story.

"...the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine;  He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew...."
~John 2:9

... the servants knew...

I just love that...

something about the big wigs who can throw a big bash, they didn't catch the miracle.  They were left out.  They were probably a little focused on everything around them.  The party, the guests, the entertainment.

But the servants who listened to Jesus, they got a front row seat to the first miracle Jesus performed.

I love that it was the ones who obeyed... the poorest of the people at this shin-dig... it was these people who got the most amazing gift of the night.

I wonder about these servants... did they run & tell the other servants?  Did they stand there shocked & not sure if they should say anything?  Did they realize who was there in front of them & gave them orders?  .... the Son of God...

Gives me hope that when I feel like I'm the one down on the chain of people in this world, if I just listen & "do whatever Jesus tells me to do"... I'm going to be the one who is blessed the most.

Hodgepodge

1. What's one thing that's still the same about you as when you were young?

My Mickey Mouse T-Shirt I got in my Easter Basket when I was 8 years old...

(I blogged about this shirt not too long ago... yep, still have it & still sleep in it...)

2. What's more important-history or science?  Why?

Having our girl holding an important job as a scientist, I think I know which direction I have to go here.... even though I cry at the thought of all the mice she has had to kill... tear...

But Science definitely has made an impact for the future.

We learn from history of the past... but let's improve the future.... SCIENCE!

& I'm not saying this because Bill Nye is on Dancing with the Stars

Bill Nye science
This is actually Bill Nye's best dance move....

3. Lima, kidney, string, garbanzo, black, or pinto-your favorite bean?

Since I've turned vegetarian, I'm all about the beans.  Black Bean burgers - yum!  Roasted Garbanzo beans - Yes!  Pinto Beans in burritos - MMMM!  Lima beans - add the cheese please!

4. What's something people come to your town to do?

Visit my parents...

Honestly, there is nothing in our town.  We don't even have a stop light in our town.  Most exciting thing that's happened lately is my parents moving to our same town, so family has been visiting them to see their new home.  Its the most action I've experienced in Greenville in awhile for me.

barney bored
This is what is said most of the time in our little town

5. When was the last time you were in a meeting? Sum it up for us in five words or less.

We have a youth leader meeting every other Sunday at church.

Sum up? .... Everyone ready? Then let's go!

Then we usually end up with an awesome move like this...
except I'd trip & fall on my face...

 6. What special event would you like a VIP pass to attend?

The Disney World Princess Half Marathon ... I want VIP status so I could meet all the cool runners there, get the front line passes for pictures with the characters on the route - Just want to be there...

Change that... I want a VIP pass to BE Belle in the Disney Princess Half marathon :)

How many of you thought my instant answer would involve Steven Curtis Chapman? :)

7. What's one piece of advice you'd give a writer?

Just write like you'd talk... that doesn't mean every sentence needs words that are at least 7 letters long & I need to have a dictionary near me at all times

huh?
Sadly, I've read many books where I've given this look
Simple English please

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

I saw this this morning & have watched it 10 times... & have laughed till I literally had to wipe my mascara from my cheeks... I love the family doesn't think anything of it.  It's like they think, "Its just dad"

What do you want?

I'm a weird person...

there... I admitted it for all of those of you that have always known that...

But I'm horrible in making decisions.

Always have been that way my whole life.

I think my problem is, I've always - I mean ALWAYS - have been the person who sees both sides of every situation.  I should have been on the debate team because I could argue both sides.... but then I'd probably agree with the other person's argument.  Maybe the debate team isn't for me.

What do I wear for the day? ... well, it may be hot... but then my office may be cold
Where do I want to eat for dinner?... well, I want this, but what sounds best to you
Do I want to make this purchase?  ... it'd be nice to have, but what if it goes on sale later... can we use the money on something else that would be a better purchase?

I over think...

television (5864) Animated Gif on Giphy
This is about how I am after ever decision is made ... usually by someone else :)

The point is, don't ever ask me a question...

As I've mentioned, I'm reading through the book of John lately in my own devotion time.  I don't think anything in the Bible is circumstance or by accident... & I happened to notice the first words in John that are in red... you know, the red letters that show that Jesus is speaking.  (I always love just reading the red text.... feel like I can hear Jesus' voice)

The first words Jesus says in the chapter

"What do you want?" - John 1:38

He's actually saying it to John the Baptist disciples... which also intrigued me that John the Baptist had followers called 'disciples'... (another thought for another day?)...

... but they were following Jesus after John the Baptist pointed out to them that there was the Lamb of God.. .right there in front of you... standing right where you could touch him!  Can you even imagine?... so of course they followed him.  I would too John's buddies....

& Jesus turns around & says those words to them...

What do you want?

Almost like a "why are you following me?" kind of tone... there must be a reason you are changing your plans & getting in my footsteps...

They ended up spending the day with Jesus...

can you imagine the conversations they had throughout the day?
The things they talked about?... The questions asked... the answers given...

All because Jesus asked them what they wanted....

I think it says something about Jesus in this chapter that those are the first words noted from Him.  What we want must be important to Him.....

It makes me want to look again at my decision making in my life...
& I see I may be indecisive in some things... but when it comes to Jesus, I KNOW what I want....

If Jesus were in front of me & he turned & said those words to me, there would be no question - no second guessing - no seeing 'both sides'...

Jesus, I want to be forgiven
Jesus, I want your touch
Jesus, I want your healing
Jesus, I want your grace
Jesus, I want your love
Jesus, I want to follow you
Jesus, I want to spend eternity with you in Heaven

BAM... I could go on & on & on....

Not even a blink of an eye... what I want from Jesus is clear in my heart...

I just want HIM

When it comes to Jesus, do you know what you want?

Camera in my hand all weekend...

Busy weekend.. .like a blur...

I even had a day off on Friday & my house still isn't clean, my laundry isn't caught up & I have yet to make it to the grocery for the past two weeks...

Sounds like Fall season, which is busy busy busy with pictures.

* Slept in on Friday... I say, 'slept in' but was still up at 7:30... as a teenager, that time would have made me cringe.  The joys of adulthood.

This is what I woke up to... she can sit like this for HOURS...
forces you with her mind to rub her belly

* I did do one thing productive.  Got all my Fall goodies out & decorated my living room & entryway.  I love all the Fall decorations.  Orange, pumpkins, apple candles.  My favorite time of the year.

* Such a beautiful day, I take the dogs outside to walk around & I noticed my butterfly bush has bloomed virtually overnight.  So lovely... & then I bend down to take a closer look at the little butterflies all over it... when all of a sudden... EEK!!!!!!!!

Look at this baby!  I grabbed the dogs up & got them inside!  Luckily, everyone on Facebook was all over it & told me its just a garden spider & not poisonous ... my fear was that the butterflies would get in the web & I didn't want my beautiful bush turning into a death trap.  So I sat out front & kept knocking butterflies away.  Then I noticed that they were avoiding it all together.  I breathed easier.  I didn't want to kill the spider - didn't want my butterflies dying... I think it all worked out.  As of today, the spider is still there & no harm as come to the flittery friends.... nature working with me here.

* I felt like a nature photographer... while I went back out to knock away bugs from the web, I took my good camera out.. I got some AMAZING pictures.  Haven't uploaded them yet, but I got pictures of the spider actually shooting webbing out of its body ... its the coolest picture I think I've ever taken.... I understood why people sit in the woods or forest or desert for hours to grab a picture of an animal then.

* A day off work calls for a nap... its just a must...

* Getting more caught up on Elementary.  The new season starts this week & I still have 15 episodes to go on last season... gotta step to it

* Ricky had to work on Saturday... that always bites...  This is what it looks like when we go out front & wait for him to come home...

* Had an engagement session Saturday night with a friend I had never met face to face.  First became friends on Daily Mile, then facebook & she's also a blogger.  She got in touch with me about engagement pictures but let me know over & over how much she hates getting her picture taken.  That's a goal for me then to make sure that a client, much less a friend, isn't miserable in front of my camera.  In the end, she totally nailed the pictures, looking lovely... even 'comfortable'.... whooo! :)  Glad Chasity & I could give her & her fiancé a good experience

* Stopped at a Chinese restaurant to take home dinner.  We are UBER picky for Chinese food & never had ordered to go from this place... I don't think Ricky & I ever ate so fast in our lives.  & Ricky said, I plan on being burned out on that place by the end of the year :)

* Missed church service (thank goodness for online recordings of the message) because I needed to work on pictures, but made it to Youth Merge class.  I had 22 middle school kids... HUGE class... love these kids so much...

* Best line in Youth:  I had on a long sleeve shirt & a knitted hat.  One of the girls had on short shorts (I don't get why they make shorts that short now a days... & I know I sound 80 years old saying that)... but I was warm.  It gets toasty in that room with 40 teenagers.  I told them to open the door & this young girl said, "No, its cold" ... I told her she shouldn't wear shorts when its 40 degrees in the morning.  She looked at me & said, "Are you just having a hot flash?" ... I just busted out laughing... all you can do

* Headed out for Round 2 - another photo session.  I don't normally like to do 2 in a weekend because I want to make sure I don't get backed up in editing.  But I was doing good with the first one's editing & I just love this kid anyways.  Another awesome Senior session in the book.  (No picture edited to brag on this one... but it'll come)

* Got to have my first Starbuck Green Tea Frappuccino... not what I was expecting.  Not horrible... not too bad though.  A little too much though.  I'd definitely get a small next time.

* Editing, editing, editing... which has my bicep tendonitis SCREAMING right now...

* Took some breaks to just sit outside... enjoying the first day of Fall... & loving on our spoiled girl, Sydney.  She's just so sad lately without Buffy.  Its really breaking out hearts...
She whined until Ricky picked her up...
spoiled?  Yes... we like it that way...

* Neil Patrick Harris just needs to host everything... & take turns with Tina Fey & Amy Poehler...

WEEKEND BONUS - I'm all about taking videos since Buffy died. I want to have memories I can look back on... so taped the dogs when Ricky gets home.  How do you not love to be greeted so excitedly - every time you pull up the drive :)

Five on Friday

One. New Girl.
I can't believe it!  I missed it.  I had no idea the season premiere was Tuesday... followed up with The Mindy Project.  I am so bummed.  Can't find it anywhere on line either.  I'm thinking after next week's shows, it will release it on Hulu.  Fingers crossed anyways.  So I've now got my DVR set to record any new shows for both of these. DANG IT!

I like you being weird too Jess....

Two. Sad Alert.
We think Sydney is just now realizing Buffy is gone. The first few days after Buffy passed away, Sydney was OK... but its easy to think Buffy was somewhere else.  In the other room, downstairs, out in the back yard.  But she's realizing she hasn't seen her in awhile.. & now?  Sydney will sit & look at door ways & whine & cry... can you tear my heart out any more?

That these two even touch now actually makes me sad
(For those new here - these 2 were both Buffy's friends, but don't care for each other one bit
....with Buffy gone, they have to learn to adapt)

Three. Running Mojo.
I think I'm loosing it.  That's ok... I think some people have never found it.  It happens to me every now & then.  I'll get it back.  I've got a race in October - my favorite race of all time.  Big Hit Half Marathon.  I'm planning on October - December to try the P90X anyways so running will be put on the side lines anyways.  It's all good.

Yeah... this is about as far as I've gotten the past few days

Four. Apples.
I got the best package of apples from Sam's Club this weekend.  They are cut in slim slices & they are sweet apples.  I haven't had good apples lately... can't find good oranges either.  But I know what I want to finish up this container.  Some caramel dip.  If there is a way to make a healthy food become Unhealthy, I'll know how do to it.

Is this not the cutest Caramel apple EVER?!?!?!

Five.  Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Yes, I'm aware of all my other favorite shows beginning this week, but the talk in this house is constantly on this show.  Ricky reminds me over & over that THIS is the show that we will record, watch, re-watch, & then have super hero discussions over.  I just know I'm going to end up being given pop quizzes.  Ricky is great with super hero pop quizzes for me.  & I will say, over the years, my Super Hero knowledge has become quite impressive.

This is exactly how I answer all the super hero trivia thrown at me

Refuse to change....

I work with someone that has short hair...

I mean SHORT... like Sharon Stone short.

Her hair has been like for as long as I can remember, & I've been at my job for 21 years.  A LONG time...

I have to laugh though because like clock work, every 6 weeks, its her hair appointment time.  She goes right after work.  And every time she goes, she complains that she wants a different look.

I told her that she probably needs to grow her hair out to get a different look - at least to have hair to WORK with to have a different look.

Its either that or shave your head, & have everyone think you're having a Brittney Spears break down.

Not a good look for Miss Brittany

Its like she doesn't even hear me when I say that... she instead brings pictures of people with different hair styles & says, "This is what I want.  Which one do you like the best?"

She even told me that sometimes she just doesn't think her hair dresser hears her when she says she wants a change... & that she isn't willing to do anything different.

Well, I can attest on the hair dressers behalf.  Last time she had her hair cut, she came in the next day to work & it was a different look.  Very cute, I might add.  The hair was more pushed back then down in the front, a sort of spikey look... it was cute.  Maybe not a huge change, but a change.

The very next day?  Guess how it was styled.  The exact same way it always is.

I laughed about it yesterday driving home, thinking of her walking in the hair salon once again with pictures in tow... dreams of something different...

But I saw her this morning, & its exactly the same... just trimmed up...with the fresh color

Yeah, I smiled to myself... but then I realized how many times in life I want a change in my life, but I sort of don't want to change anything.

Make sense?

We like the comfortable... the familiar...

We don't have patience... I mean, if she grew her hair out for a few months, I'm sure she'd have so many options to choose from in a new look.  But who has the patience to wait?... Want it NOW...

Its easy to blame others for changes that don't happen....I don't have (insert whatever change you need) because so&so isn't working with me.  They're holding me back.  They're not working with me.

We don't listen to advice.... I know I'm not the only one telling her she needs to grow out her hair for better odds of looks, but its like the words go in one ear & out the other.  We like to shut off the words we don't like to hear, don't we?

We also just don't like to change... simple as that.. we're always drawn back to the familiar.  Just like the style of the hair goes back to the way she always styles it herself, its the basic line of "its what I do".  Its always so easy to just stick with what we know.  Even if its keeping us in the same place in life.  If its familiar, we just want to stay there.  We're not comfortable stepping out of our box.

My job, my diet, my health, my finances, my relationship with others, my relationship with God...all areas that I can instantly think of that could do with a step forward... a change...

what changes do you want in your life?

Are you blaming others for those changes not happening?

Ready to put excuses behind?

Wednesday...Hodgepodge Time
You can join along as well - just click that button above & the magic of the internet will take you there...

1. When did you last sing happy birthday to someone? When were you last sung to? Does that embarrass you or do you enjoy being the center of attention on your special day?

Funny timing of this question....

Ricky got me a balloon on my birthday - December 30th - that sings the coolest version of the Happy Birthday song.  Well, Ricky doesn't only get me a balloon on special events for MY benefit, but for his as well.  He LOVES to let the balloons go after a few weeks.  He's like a big kid when we go outside & release it & see how far we can watch it.... its the simple things...

But I REFUSED to let him let go of my Birthday balloon.  It has literally sat in my foyer since December 30th... & it got played at least a few times a week.
The helium has deflated & it was on the ground the past few months so even when the dogs would walk by, their tails or paws would hit it & the happy little ditty would start playing.  (Kinda freaking hearing it in the middle of the night for no reason... but learned it was the dogs setting it off)

So yesterday, Ricky went to play it again... it completely shorted out...
I told him we hadn't played it since Buffy died.  The balloon didn't want to play anymore without our yellow dog in the house...

Ricky cut open the balloon to see how it worked.  I wanted to see if we could replace batteries... I'm gonna miss that song...

Man - bet you didn't think that answer would be so long....

2. Name a famous or 'infamous' person who shares your birth month and day. Is that someone you'd like to meet in person if it were possible?

I know this because I always watched Entertainment Tonight to see who I shared a birthday with.

Matt Lauer
Tiger Woods
Davy Jones
Mike Nesmith
Laila Ali

Anyone else ready to break out in "Last Train to Clarksville"

I was always so excited that not one, but TWO Monkees had the same birthday as me.  I love me some Monkees

3.  Someone hands you a box tied up in a lovely bow...what are you hoping to find inside?

I'm always happy with anything... big, small...  knowing someone thought of me is always the best

...unless its dog poop...don't give me dog poop...

4. What is something you can guarantee about yourself?

I guarantee I will randomly break out in song at least once a day....

5. Talking about art and beautiful cities here...'The Last Supper' in the Santa Maria della Grazie Abbey in Milan, Italy or 'The Mona Lisa' in the Louvre, Paris...which would you most like to see up close and in person?  Why?

I had to laugh, because odds of me being in Milan or Paris EVER is just funny...

I'd go with The Mona Lisa though... just because I'd be interested in seeing Paris.  Not that I think the painting is anything amazing.  How DID that painting get to be so amazing?  Is it really that great of a painting? ... art = subjective

6. Your favorite dessert?

How long can this list be?

I will say, I'm a pie girl... give me some apple pie with cool whip....

mmm... perfect for Fall too....

But I do love my parent's Hershey Pie too... mmm... I guess that's technically a pie too.  Frozen Hershey bar mixed with cool whip in a pie shell?

I bet I just gained 2 lbs thinking of these things....

I'll never see a pie & not say this

7. This coming weekend marks the official start of autumn (in the northern hemisphere)...what is something you do to get ready for fall?  What is one thing you're looking forward to on your fall calendar?  Spring or fall-which do you prefer?

I LOVE FALL!!!!  The cooler weather, the colors, all the decorations...

I always look forward to Halloween.  Don't know why since we get NO trick or treaters where we live now... but I just always love watching the specials & shows where everyone dresses up...

I love decorating my house in leaves & pumpkins & all things orange...

I wish it were Fall all year round
