This week I am Thankful For:
{The numbers go with my One Thousand Gifts Journal / just ignore}
155 / All the signs of spring.
I honestly cant believe we have full trees in bloom... in February. I have run races at the end of March where I'm happy to see a tree or two with upcoming blooms. I've never seen anything like this February in my life. It's seriously crazy.
156 / Spotify.
I just love having all the music available at the touch of a button. Music makes my heart happy. Especially since I can listen to pop, to Christian music, to 80's rock, to Broadway, all in one spell. I need something where I can get it all in a one stop shop.
159 / Ricky stopping at the grocery with me.
I always love when he stops in the grocery on his way home from work knowing I'm in there & helps me load up my car.... I also love he's the one who put new vegetarian things in the cart for dinner.
163 / Didn't get hurt on treadmill.
With it stopping 3 times in 5 minutes, it jerked me pretty good. I'm just glad I didnt fall on my face. Which is always a possibility in my world.
164 / Safe on run.
I talked about this on Monday - but the scary empty park is not something I plan on ever doing again.
165 / Warmth after a run.
Give me a hot shower & some hot coffee & some fuzzy warm socks after a freezing cold run any day. This moment right here was pure joy.
169 / Hearing good news.
I heard from a friend of some exciting news in her world & it literally made me tear up. I love when good things happen to people I think are pretty awesome.
170 / Bed early.
This is such a struggle for me every night, but I'll give thank to The Bachelor on Monday for being only 1 hour instead of 2. It went off at 9 & I got ready to turn on Netfix for the night & said, No, go to bed. & I did. I was asleep by 9:30. I didnt know what to do with myself the next day feeling rested waking up. That's what that feeling is!
171 / Taking Bruno on a walk.
I'm so glad we had that little extra time to take our little old man on that outing. He needs the attention. He is 16 years old... & is having a really rough time lately. His sight is fading fast... he's having some skin allergy issues... he's having eye allergies... he's just having all sorts of things going wrong. Age happens to all of us I guess. So I'm just glad to let him know he's loved. Every day.
171 Nature at our park.
I love our park that is full of ducks & geese. It's always so much fun to walk around having these amazing creatures just within your reach. They get so spoiled with people bringing bread & feeding them. They have a good gig.
Awww I love that last picture.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I can't believe your trees are blooming! It's been warm for most of the winter here, so maybe we aren't far behind. I remember once KC said, "when we have our own place can we recycle?" - melted into a puddle. Sweet of you guys to take your old fella on a walk. I'm sure he enjoyed it and does know that he's loved!! :) XO - Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
I am thankful for feeling ebtter and for the Japanese Magnolias in bloom. Makes my heart swoon every day!!
ReplyDeleteFunny how you enjoy Ricky at the grocery store with you. I prefer to go alone cus my husband is always throwing things in the cart that we don't need. We end up buying more snacks and less food to make meals with..lol
ReplyDeletePoor Bruno :( That's so sweet that you guys were able to take him out for a walk.
ReplyDeleteNone of these are backhanded thankful things!! (Like how you were having tooth issues but you forced yourself to be thankful for quick appointments or thankful that a cold was letting up.) They're all such happy and positive things to be thankful for this time around! I'm happy for you!
ReplyDeletewarm cozy socks and hot coffee is a MUST after a hard workout!
ReplyDeleteTry the Morningstar sausage links, they're good, and the maple sausage patties (we are not vegetarians but we like several vegetarian products).
ReplyDeleteSpotify is the greatest thing ever and I happily spend money on it every month.
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the things bloom in February is crazy!
WOW check out that tear! We don't have anything like that here.
ReplyDeleteThose blooms are so pretty!!! I haven't seen any pretty blooms like that, just a lot of weeds here like we need to start cutting the grass again soon. Oh boy! Spotify is the bets thing ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to go to bed early, actually I should go to bed now...but I know I won't...but I should, hehe. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteAwww....I love the bit about Bruno. <3
ReplyDeleteI get so scared hearing about your treadmill. Ugh. Love when my husband actually goes to the grocery store with me, but that rarely happens.
