Wednesday.... half way there

1. April showers bring May flowers or so the saying goes. Are you blooming where you're planted as we begin the month of May?

I'm always blooming wherever I'm at....

This is the type of attitude everyone needs
.... plus, I love to twirl....
except I get dizzy & fall down easily

2. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being no big deal, and 10 being full scale panic, rank your fear of spiders.

I think it all depends on the spider... I had a spider on my hand the other day while I was working on my computer.  I saw him, & just calmly walked outside & laid him up on the bush & told him to go on with his spider life...

But give me something like this?  Yeah... the panic scale just raised something crazy...

I didn't even know spiders could get that big

3. May is National Salad Month (who knew???)...besides lettuce, what are two must have ingredients in your favorite salad?

I didn't plan this but I made the best salad last night...

my 2 must ingredients - Feta Cheese (YUM!!!) & some sort of nut.  I love cashews on a salad!  Let's make a salad fattening!

Strawberries cancel out all the bad

4.  I (Joyce)  mentioned on my  blog last week that my Daughter1 will be moving to Washington State after she is married. Of the following sites in the Northwest, which would you most like to see in person-Crater Lake (Oregon), Seattle (Washington), Vancouver (British Columbia), San Juan Islands (Washington),  Mt Rainier (Washington), Oregon Coast (Oregon), Mt St Helen's ((Washington), or Olympic National Park (Washington)?

I'll go with Seattle - because
1. It's the home of Grey's Anatomy
2. Not 1, but 2 Bachelor/Bachelorette couples live there....

I make my travel plans on important factors....

5. This coming weekend marks the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby...when did you last race (literally or figuratively) to cross a finish line?

Well, how appropriate is it then that my answer is crossing the finish line at the Kentucky Derby Mini-Marathon!  Bam!  I get bonus points for this question!
Finish line just ahead... Yahooo!

 6. What is something little you love?

Call me Olaf....

7. Would you say you are more of a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner?

First of all, I had to look up what 'kinesthetic' meant... I figured what it meant, but I didn't want to sound like an idiot if I was wrong...

But yes, that's me.  If I can walk through something DOING it while someone is watching me, then bam! I've got it down...

Forget auditory - if I hear you, I'll forget it in 5 minutes.  Hello 42!

 8.  Insert your own random thought here.

The most BEAUTIFUL Rainbow happened last night.

I was working on pictures at the computer, looked out & saw the sun was shining on just one part of the trees across the street from me.  It was so beautiful because all the dark storm clouds around & this burst of sunshine. I went to take a picture of it & stood up & snapped...

it took me a second to look to the left & see the most beautiful rainbow... WHOOO!
I then noticed it was a full rainbow... & was HUGE!

I ran outside trying to grab a picture & then noticed it was a DOUBLE rainbow...

So amazingly beautiful....

Thankful for the panorama feature on my phone... no other way to capture it

  1. Your photo of the rainbow is fabulous.

  2. Nothing better than seeing that finish line, is there? I need to get back into running 5K's again. I've been dealing with shin splints lately...maybe once the pain goes away, I'll start training. Love the high they give you! Wow...that rainbow pic. is TOP-NOTCH!

  3. I am loving the seasonal salad at McAlister's right now with strawberries, blueberries and pecans + a walnut raspberry vinaigrette. And yes, take me to Seattle too so we can hang with all of them, love them :)

  4. I had to scroll past that spider .gif so fast! My fear is like a 25! I'm not the biggest salad person but I love summer salads with fruit-- sooo good!

  5. 42? Imagine 63?? ha! I have the best chance if I can do it with someone looking over my shoulder to help/assist/answer my dumb questions ... I have a possible chance if I can see someone doing it ... I have zero chance if all I get is hearing someone tell me how to do it. ;-)

Strawberries and nuts on a salad sound YUMMY (although I would prefer almonds, pecans or walnuts).

  6. That rainbow is gorgeous! Love that cameras now have panoramic options!

  7. I don't watch the Atlanta Housewives but I do watch/tape Andy Cohan so I do know about that song :) I use Feta....will have to add the nuts. Your bonus from me is "Hip Hip Hooray" on the race! Your right, that is the most amazing rainbow I've ever seen.

  8. I freaked out just seeing that spider video. I agree that it depends on the spider, but I'm never nice like you & let them go free. They always lose the battle with me. That rainbow is gorgeous!!!

  9. Love the rainbow and your salad looks delicious.

  10. I didn't realize that TWO bachelor couples were in Seattle! It is a neat place, but dear, you and I both know you AIN'T stepping on a plane nor getting in a car for that long of a ride. Dream on, honey! LOL!

  11. Want to build a snowman??????? ;-D

  12. Hahaha I love your reasoning for picking Seattle! Can I say that I'm surprised that Des and Chris are still together...

  13. On your list of Northwest places to visit, I've only been to Crater Lake, but it was VERY beautiful! I imagine that they'd all be nice to visit!
