Love Hodgepodge Day... it means we're half way through the week!

 

1. What rule of life should never be broken?

There are rules of life? ... maybe someone should have told me before today!

If I had to make some up, it would look sorta like this:
* Dont pick your nose in public
* Watch out for panty lines
* Sing at least once a day
* Dance at least twice a day
... see, I could make up rules of life... I could write a book about it actually



2. What's your favorite family recipe?

My favorite was my grandma's dumplin's ... amazing... the recipe went with her I guess.  No one can do it the same.  I think she didnt write down an ingredient on purpose, so we'd all miss her cooking. 

I do love my my family's recipe of Hershey Pie... frozen chocolate heaven...



3.  Is the media manipulative?

Manipulative?  not sure... but I think they can be 'influential' ... (look at all these big words!)... but I think people hear what they want to hear, to be influenced.

So my answer is yes... & no... (I love when I'm so smart)



4. Hubs and I saw Skyfall last weekend...are you a fan of the Bond films? If so, who's your favorite Bond?

I've never been a Bond-Girl. 
I'm not much of an 'action' fan anyways. 
Never saw any of the Bourne Movies - didnt care for the Mission Impossible thing - didnt even see Eddie Murphy in the 48 hours movies.

I have only seen ONE Bond movie - & Roger Moore was in it, with Grace Jones.  (Ha... funny... I actually wrote Grace Slick & looked it up to see if I had the right Grace.  A Bond movie with Grace Slick may get my attention)

But I did always think Pierce Bronson would make a great Bond guy - he has the accent, had the looks... I dont know why he didnt last.

5. What is one thing you hope people never say about you?

I hope someone never says, "That Rebecca Jo, she was in that horrible, terrifying, horrendous accident" ... yeah, I'd LOVE for someone to NEVER have to say that...



 6. What's a nearby tourist attraction you'd like to see, but haven't gotten around to visiting?
We have a local museum that I've not gotten around to visiting yet, but right now, it has a Princess Diana exhibit.

yes - her wedding gown is in there!

With some of her other dresses & tiaras...

I'm going to scream a little when I see this in person.

The exhibit ends in January - so I've got to make sure to get there before its over.

7. Where's your favorite tree?

I am a tree hugger... I love them all...

When we moved, I was so excited that we had a half acre with nothing but trees... One day, we came home from church & our neighbor had started clearing trees.  Dont know if he realized it or not, but he came over our property line & took down some of our trees.  I totally sat in the car & cried.  ... no really... I cried because our trees got chopped down.

yes - I'm the pereson who would chain myself to an old tree to try & not let someone chop it down. 

I think how long it took to grow to those heights, the history it has lived through... & men just knock it down with a quick flick of a chain saw...

Excuse me, I need to go outside & hug a tree right now.


8. Insert your own random thought here.

Working on pictures for a family that I just took this past Sunday...

Gotta show this picture - I just love it... the kids were "hiding" from their parents around a fence.  The older sister was trying to hide her little brother.  Isnt this just the cutest?  I loved her arms around him... I especially love that little band aid on her finger.  The sure-sign-mark of being a kid.
