Its been a busy few days - with the twins birthday & getting ready for Julie, Steve & Isaac to come up (only 2 more days!!!!!!) & just every day events ..... and the dental nightmare I'm still in - I've been running around with my head cut off.

Let's start with my dental nightmare. I NOW have an abscess on my gum. Yeah - sounds like fun - doesnt it? I've been taking antibiotics for it but its not going away. I'm at the point where I'm trying to "ignore it away" - think it'll work? Its not really painful or really swollen - just a white dot on my gum at this point. I just want to put a needle in it & pop it but Ricky yells at me each time I say that. Oh well - I'll be spending the whole day in 2 different dentist chairs next Thursday so I'll see what they say then.

Last night was the small group for the jr/sr high girls. We had 7 girls show up this time - & it was so good! Our topic was "I have a messed up family" out of the book "Secrets every young woman keeps"....as always, we had some good laughs & some good discussions. These girls are just awesome & I am so blessed with every opportunity I have to spend with them. These young girls are going to grow up to be some mighty young women for God!!!! I already have them freaked out because next week - the topic is "I hang around people I shouldn't".....that's going to be interesting!!!

Some AWESOME news.....my dear friend Ryan - HE MADE IT IN THE POLICE ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All those prayers that I've asked for him over the past few months - they have been answered! He got the news yesterday! He goes to orientation in 2 weeks & starts the 7 month journey in the Police Academy. I was calling him "Officer" all night!!! He really needed some good news & this is just so exciting for him! Now, we need prayers to continue to get him through the Academy & now with his journey in this field - it'll be a constant prayer of safety! God is good!!!!

And I'll just end this randomness with a picture......I was doing the white load of laundry & felt like I was folding white t-shirts forever!!!! I ended up counting - there are 47 t-shirts here!!! These are Ricky's white ones - not even his colored ones - & not even ALL his white ones - his drawer is still full of them.....OK - I may have an addiction to yarn - but I think last night after my back was KILLING me from folding all these shirts, I think I found what Ricky is addicted too. I made him come look & count them all. What did he say to me this morning? Do you know if I have any clean t-shirts? Sometimes, I could punch him!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

  1. MY GOODNESS! That is a LOT of white t-shirts...

Sorry to hear about your gums! Don't pop them! That can send an infection straight to your heart, I think I've heard!

  2. 47 white t-shirts? I would have gone insane. It's so much easier washing/folding clothes for just one person... :)

  3. hee - do I have any clean shirts... gotta love 'em.

Congrats to Ryan. My son is in the process of applying and interviewing, and our praying, trying to get hire onto some local police agency. It's a process :o)

  4. Oh, you poor thing with your gum!! It sounds painful. I hope you feel better soon. Don't do laundry. Go lay in bed and eat ice cream. That'll help.

  5. i am so sorry to hear about your dental nightmare! i am going to the dentist too very soon. i have a permanent retainer on the back of my bottom row of teeth and it makes it IMPOSSIBLE to floss down there. my gums bleed a lot and it's annoying so i am going to see what i can do about it. i've had the stupid thing for years! (i'm talkin' ever since i got my braces off...yearsssss) i hate going to the dentist. you sound like my dad. he would have said the same thing..."forget the dentist. i just wanna get a needle and pop the thing open" ...which is probably what he would have done! haha i am rambling. once again, i'm sorry about your problem! i will pray for an eased mind for ya!

  6. And folding t-shirts is not my favorite thing to do so when there are a million of them I am just so tempted to leave them like they are and just CRAM 'em in the drawer!

Oh! I hope the teeth are all better soon!

  7. You are a better wife than me. No way would I have folded all of those.

It's great to hear how well the Bible study is going. What fabulous topics too!!!

And congrats to your friend! My dh went through the academy, while I was on bedrest with my second child, and it was not easy. The work will be worth it though.

  8. Good gosh thats a LOT of white T's!!!

    Thanks for the comment!!!

  9. Oh, My word. That is a whole lotta white t shirts..

  10. Oh bless your heart! I'm so sorry to hear about your gums. Praying it heals up quickly for you.

  11. My word, I don't think I have ever known anyone to have so many white shirts! That is so funny!

    Hope you feel better soon!

  12. You weren't kidding when you said you were doing some white laundry! MY GOODNESS! I'll never complain about folding clothes again :)
