Time of their life!

So, every day when I get home - I'm getting in the habit of seeing what the dogs have dragged outside. They are very good dogs, but they HATE when we leave them during the day & our Aussie is a pro at showing us she's mad by taking out our shirts, pants & shoes out in the back yard through the doggie door - & once its in the back yard - its fair game!!! So in other words - its trashed! In shreds! With 4 dogs pulling & tugging in every direction - nothing stands a chance in their doggy world!

So I get home today & what do I see in the back yard:

Yep - they got in the treat cabinet....& I cant figure out how they did it! They got all four of these boxes/bags of treats & had them all cleaned out - & they were all FULL too!!!! And the thing that I actually had to laugh about - the cabinet door was shut when I got home - so I didn't even notice it at first....I'll give credit to them - they are some smart doggies!!!!

Needless to say - they will NOT be getting dinner tonight because they got MORE than enough snacks during the day! I just hope I dont hear that "wretching" noise in the middle of the night....

  1. Oh my stars! I bet you were not too happy with those little fur babies!! They found the treats and they were going to town! (Can't say I blame 'em) Hope no one gets sick from too many treats!! YIKES!

  3. Oh my!! Wouldn't you LOVE to have a video camera on them to watch them while they are doing this kind of stuff! My Boxer ate all of my Halloween candy last year and not so long ago, he ate all of the fixins' to make S'Mores! I was SO mad at him!

Unfortunately, I am afraid that you might have heard the retching sound in the middle of the night...

  5. Hehehe it just makes me giggle when dogs do things like this. My pup has a love of a full toilet paper roll.

  6. LOL!! Maybe they thought you wouldn't notice! Too bad they don't know how to get rid of the evidence.

  7. Hahaha! I know that EXACT feeling! We used to crate our dogs but they were genuises and would break free of the cage! I don't know how!!! So then I worried all day about them getting stuck during break out time, so we just leave them out and deal w/ the aftermath once we get home. Lol! The worst was when they got the huge box of twix bars! But they have garbage stomachs so they can handle it. We have even put childproof locks on the cabinets now, AND put all food in the above cabinets. Do you think that stopped them from getting the flour and having a field day w/ the bag all over the family room?!?!?!?!??

  9. OH, I know that "wretching sound" and it is the worst! I think our dogs throw up more than the three people who live here!!!
That is hilarious that they closed the cabinet door back!

  10. Dogs and kids do the darndest things. Your dogs are indeed very smart. Evidentally, they are too smart for their own good. We have 3 and our Yorkie is the one who is vindictive when we leave. So...we kennel/crate them all. My husband thought it was cruel at first and hated the idea. Now, he sees that they feel safe and cozy in their kennels and will even go in them while we're home to chill. I pray you are able to afford to replace all the items they destroy and/or you find a solution to your sweetie pie's mischief. I know you are probably hugging her or she is at your feet as you read this. Man's best friend for sure! Childproof, I mean dogproof locks do sound like a good idea for the cabinets. heeheehee
