The weekend that we got to watch a vow renewal ....

It's a rainy Monday... feels about right.

But man, what a weekend...

Busy, lots to do, lots to experience.  It was a pretty decent one.

Friday had Ricky still going strong on getting our yard all fancy-shmancy...

He went out & got a rose bush... my first rose bush... I really feel like Belle now.  I may cut a rose every day & take my picture with it holding it just like Belle does...

Is this me... or is it Belle...
So hard to tell the difference.

We even got new cushions for our patio furniture in the back... & now we're praying that Harvey Dent doesn't destruct them in a matter of minutes.  Could happen.

But Saturday was the exciting day of the week.

Y'all know I talk about Ryan & Chasity a lot on here... well, Chasity & her sisters planned a surprise 20th anniversary vow-renewal for their parents.  I mean SURPRISE.  Like they had no clue... their anniversary isn't actually until the middle of June.  No way they would have expected it.

But the girls got a new dress for mom, picked out clothes for dad... dug into their old wedding stuff & pulled out things like their old unity candle, their glasses... put pictures up over the past 20 years.  It was so amazing.

Their reaction when they pulled up in the driveway & saw their kids standing there with a sign... I honestly think it took them a bit to really understand what was happening.  Everything about it was precious. Seriously - I can't even begin to write how it went or how the emotion of it felt.  It was just too much for words.

The girls wrote the vows for their parents... its times like that that I'm impressed I can hold a camera while blubbering myself...

& man, it worked out perfectly with the weather too.  They were calling for clouds & downpours... & it actually rained for maybe 5 minutes & that was it.  Beautiful skies the rest of the time.  God shining down.

I always love a day where I get to love on our Grandbuddy too... this girl... too much...

Sunday was a fun day at church - Orange Sunday... where all the kiddos get to sit on blankets with their parents for church.  It was Super Hero themed this time around so even the adults were into that ... & you ain't seen nothing till you have our crazy leaders talking about wedgies & why super heroes wear capes to cover them.... Orange Sunday's are the best.

Sunday afternoon was just finally a time to relax... get all ready for another week.  It was so cool outside.  I sat on the patio reading my book, watching Harvey play...

we wont talk about him tearing up Ricky's watch, getting his OTHER cell phone, & tearing up our patio light... oh Harvey...

How was your weekend?
