#ProjectThankful14

The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings! ~Henry Ward Beecher

06.12.14 Oil Change

I had been putting this off longer then I should, but got home & thought my car smelled funny, so I changed out of work clothes & drove all the way back down to the oil changing place.  Luckily, it was a beautifully perfect day so I didn't mind the ride with the windows down & radio blaring.
Gotta take care of Miley Ray Cyrus (What I call my car)
...long story...

06.13.14 New Cups!!!

I'm probably the only one who gets excited over new cups, but nice ones are really hard to find - especially ones that aren't like $20.00
But I found the ones with the wrap around them on Amazon for like $7.99... & Ricky just happened to find that one with the hearts on it the same day the other 2 got delivered.  All 3 are dishwasher safe, which is hard to find in these plastic cups.
If you didn't know - be aware - because some of them will melt in  your dishwasher!

06.14.14  Lots to celebrate

We had graduation parties & baby showers to go to.
It was a busy day of running from one spot to the next, but when life has a lot to celebrate, you just celebrate...

06.15.14 Emerson Stephanie is here!!!

The best Father's day gift ever for that new daddy
... what an amazing day...

06.16.14 Good Bye Old Hip Party

We had to celebrate Father's Day a day late & why not throw in a cake that wished dad good luck on his surgery & said a fond farewell to an old arthritic hip.
Good riddance.
... we'll take any excuse for cake in our family.... today is National Martini Day (seriously, it is... you can find out what every day is thanks to Google)
CAKE FOR EVERYONE!!!

06.17.14 Walking on a new hip

Dad's surgery went fantastic - less then an hour to do - & he was up & walking about 3 hours out of recovery.  Crazy to me... mind blowing...
I think he was scheduling his other hip replacement as soon as he was up walking on this one.

06.18.14 Home!!!

A little more then 24 hours & dad is sitting home in his kitchen eating dinner.
Crazy to me.  They can remove a part of your body, put a new part in, & you're home the next day.  It takes longer for me to get things from Amazon to my door.
The miracles of medicine!!

So what are you thankful for this week?
