You ever been TP'ed?

So we totally got TP'ed last night.... HARD! (The joys of working with youth!) Out cleaning it up in the middle of a wind storm... with a husband who was none too happy....

So I just have to ask? Have you ever been TP'ed...ever gone TP'ing?.... Do you find it a bad thing or a funny thing?

I'm really curious because its been interesting to me to get people's reactions....

  1. OMG! Do you have any idea who did this to you? I don't know how I'd feel about it until I find the source.

  2. I have been TP and "forked"! I don't know which is worse. Cleaning up wet TP or picking hundreds or plastics forks out of your yard!!!

  3. OK... I thought it was funny when I was a kid... if it was my house, now? maybe not soo much.

  4. Oh no! That looks bad! We've never been TP'd before but I'll tell you my husband would be soooo mad!

I've definately gone tping when I was a kid, it was all too exciting! I was on the drill team in highschool and we decided to tp our coaches house. We ended up going back and cleaning in up for her...but it was fun doing it!

One time we got caught tping and we ran away so fast we thought we were going to get arrested or something! The guy just went back to bed.

  5. Hi! :-) I just found your blog from Jenna's . . . and I've actually never been TPed. I went TPing once, but I was so nervous the whole time because I'm just not a "rule breaker" . . . anyways, I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog!

  6. Ha! How funny! I'm sure you aren't laughing right now, though, but you've amused your audience by posting this, I'm sure.
We tp'd as kids but it was so long ago I forgot much about it. That and rubbing soap on people's windows.
Good luck! (and thanks for the smile)

  7. Ugh! I hate that. I used to have to clean my parent's yard when we got TP'd.

  8. GIRL! I am a former H.S. teacher, married to a jr. high teacher/football coach---TP-ing is standard business around here. My hubby swears he is going to catch someone one of these days!!! I have learned not to let it bother me...except when they ring the doorbell in the middle of the night. Now THAT scares me and makes me mad....don't want them to wake up Connor-boo!

  11. I've never been TP'ed myself, but I went plenty of times. We always did the house of the boys we liked. So, maybe it means you're popular?

  12. As a teenager, yep we did that a couple of times (don't tell my son!) As a parent, we haven't had the pleasure, thank goodness. But when our next door neighbor's son was younger they would get TP'd on a regular basis. Pain in the butt.

  13. OMG I have been TP'd so many times. I have a son who is a senior in high school and for awhile it was every weekend. I have to tell you a funny story. we were sick of getting toilet papered. It was almost getting embarrassing. So my hubby and I decided to have date night....He backed our truck into the driveway and at dark we went and sat in the truck, equipped with the keys and a 10,000watt flashlight. We waited, we talked, and at 10 to 12 I said, lets go in, I dont think they are coming. All of a sudden we saw them appear at the end of our driveway. They couldn't see us though. We waited till they got just about up to the one big tree in our yard, it was near the truck where we were waiting, and my husband flips on the flashlight and says HEY!! OMG the look on their faces, and I'm thinkin they might have filled their pants outta fear too, LOL! They ran, we took off after them but they knew we knew who they were, and it put a quick end to the toilet papering at our house!

  14. We have never been TP'd, and I consider us lucky, because it would piss me off something terrible to have TP hanging from the many, many trees in our yard. Maybe that's why they haven't done it yet; too much work! :) Why are people TPing this time of year?? Around here (Wisconsin) it only happens during fall Homecoming.

  15. We have not been TP'd but I am ashamed to say that I have egged, TP'd and saran wrapped!! The saran wrap was a car and my mom called my neighbor on me and my friend (who is a pretty popular blogger I might add). Our neighbor was a highway patrolman! Oh yea. I was feeling the love. Thanks mom!

  16. Oh-my-YES-we've been tp'd through the years. And, yes, I've a history of TP'ing when I was in HS...I think it's fun and really no big deal. I'm so surprised when I run across the occasional person that thinks it's an "awful, horrible, delinquent" type of behavior.

  17. I loved TPing..like 16 years ago. Not sure that I would enjoy it now. My kids were talking about it the other day and I found it hard to not give them advice on the matter ;-)
Sorry you had to clean all that up!

  18. I don't understand TP-ing! I grew up in an apartment in the city and had never really heard of it until recently. I though it looked like a bad thing (like mean) but people tell me it's a compliment (??). What's the deal!?!

  19. Had it happen to me once. Luckily it wasn't too bad. But I've never, ever done it to anyone else. I'm too frugal--TP-ing is a total waste of money! LOL

  20. Oh. My. Gosh.

No, never been TP'd. There is a town about 45 minutes away that let's them TP the whole town every Halloween. It is AWESOME to drive through there because EVERYTHING is white. Insane.

  21. I have never been Tp'd. However, that doesn't mean it won't happen as Yaya grows up. Hopefully she won't be one doing the TPing. I held back and didn't do such things. Too much of a chicken!

  22. Oh geez! I have 3 older brothers who TP'ed folks homes on a professional level there for awhile. The retaliation though was brutal. We had a gazillion pine tree's & a lake behind our house - lots of prime TP real estate. But back then TP came in different colors - so I thought it was pretty. Dad however was never amused.

  23. I've never been TP'd.That stinks! Sorry :( How the heck do you clean it up??? What a mess. That looks like so much work. Like you have time for that right??

  24. It got so bad in our town, that a few years ago the stores would not sell tp to teens after eight p.m.
Kids are smart though, they just buy it earlier in the day.

  25. I'm definitely done my fair share on TP'ing! LOL

When I was in middle school some TEACHERS took us to TP the principles house. Then in HS we TP'ed our youth pastors house MANY times. We also "forked" his yard and one year, I think it was right before Kyle and I got married and it was also an election year, we brought over two truck loads of candidate signs, all sizes, and put them in his yard. *snicker* We have video of some of it. I can't remember which instance it is though.

Hope you didn't have rain while trying to clean that up!

  26. Oh that stinks!
Never been TPing, or TP'd but someone through grapefruit and eggs at our house when I was a teenager. It never did come off the white stucco paint.

  27. I find it a bad thing when it's done to me but funny otherwise. Is that wrong? We've never been TP'd but when I was a kid, we were hit on a weekly basis. My poor parents...

  28. My friend Lindz who turned 23 on Friday requested to go TP'ing for her birthday! That's what she wanted to do more than anything else! LOL I thought that was hilarious considering she's such a sweet soft spoken girl lol But they (her and her hubs) work with youth also and they have been TP'd many a time and were getting revenge on someone LOL
