About that Hodgepodge Time
I'm a routine kinda gal... something gets off & I'm a mess...
I'm even talking at work... my morning mail gets to me around 8... if it comes early ,or late, my whole day is thrown off...
that's how crazy I am... (& you thought I was only a little crazy)
2. What's your favorite fried food indulgence?
I'm on an Onion Ring kick right now...just give me an order & no one will get hurt.
The State Fair starts tomorrow here & "Fried" is all that you smell once you step through the gates. I'm afraid of most of the food though... a Twinkie is awful enough for your body... to fry it as well? I hope they have EMS standing by each 'fried booth'
3. Did you have an allowance as a kid? What did you do with it? Do you give your own kids an allowance?
I never did get an allowance...
In my family, it was just being part of the family to help... no payment required..
I dont have children to give allowances, but I do give bones to my dogs for not peeing in the house... is that the same?
4. What's something you wish you knew more about?
I wish I knew more about what it feels like to be a Billionaire....
5. Is there anything you feel too old to do anymore? If so, what?
I'm too old to wear pigtails...
Ha... who am I kidding... I wear them all the time
I actually feel too old to do 90% of the stuff that I still do...
gotta keep trucking along
6. What's a song you think has a great first line?
Come on... you that know me, already know what I'm going to say...
"Tale as old as time...
true as it can be...
barely even friends...
then somebody bends, unexpectedly"
All together now... collective sigh for "Beauty & the Beast"
7. Who are you writing to/for when you create a blog post. In other words...as you write, who is the audience in your head?
Depends... but usually I write for myself... for memories sake.
I like to write things that God teaches me...I like to remember stories of life, even the spats I have with my husband... I like to store pictures to look back & say, "Wow, look how young we were then"... I like to see memories of my running/races...
I've learned that when I try to write to please people, then its just a chore & not enjoyable... but as long as I write just for me, then when I look back at a post, its not about anything but bringing a smile to my face & saying, "I remember that"
8. Insert your own random thought here.
So here's one of the pics of the little girl that I got to take a picture of this weekend for a cake smash... is this face the cutest little face?
No one thinks my face is that cute when I have icing smeared all over it....
Happy Wednesday friends....
Adorable picture : )
ReplyDeleteWe went to our state fair recently. We didn't eat much because it was so hot. Mostly we drank gallons of their fresh squeezed lemonade which I guess is better than a fried twinkie!
LOL at #4! And no surprise for #6. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like your answer to #7 ... and am glad that you let us come along with.
Oh, what an adorable little peanut!! SO CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, sister. Routine is my thing. It drives the Big Guy NUTS.
I think we would all like to feel what it would be a billionaire.
ReplyDeleteThe Birthday Girl is adorable! Last Christmas my daughter and I tried a deep friend snicker's bar...Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThat little girl is just precious - and I agree that it's not fair that people don't think I'm cute with icing on my face.
ReplyDeleteDo you guys have Sonic? I lurrrvve their onion rings - yum!
Hey, girl!
ReplyDeleteSure have missed visiting you, but I've been spending a lot of wonderful times with my girls this summer. Do you know that I tried a fried Snickers candy bar once at a fair...worst thing I've ever put in my mouth! BLECH! What was I thinking? Absolutely adorable picture of the birthday girl!
Yes, that is one VERY adorable little sweetie! I think we should all be able to go for birthday cake with gusto and wear the icing!
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture. I would like to know what it feels to be a Billionaire. Great answer to #7
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love all your answers! Frosting face :) I wish I could still rock the pigtails...maybe I will try tonight. Onion rings! I love them on steak! Sigh, Beauty and the Beast. Love it! And I am adding "what it's like to be a billionaire" to my list of things I want to know...I would even settle for knowing what it is like to be a millionaire....Oh, and I am your newest follower :) Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI gave up fried food when I went on my diet and I only miss it sometimes!:)
ReplyDeleteI love your answer to # 4 and I'd like to join in that!
Adorable little girl!
I'm printing my blog into books by year so that my children will get to know me! :)
Best answers!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love routine. When I'm stressed out my mom consoles me with, "It's ok; you'll get your routine back!" How do people live disorderly lives day in and day out! :)
Onion rings - yum!
# 4 - billionaire. Ha!
You had the best answer to # 5. I said I'm too old to ride roller coasters, but your answer makes me want to go try again. I love the pigtails.
Aw, Beauty and the Beast. Good one.
Picture is super cute!
I gave my dog a bone yesterday after she had tried to nab three human things. My kids were aghast that I was giving her a treat and I said, "I'm just trying to keep her occupied!" :)
