the cutest second grand baby there is...
He loves his momma totally & completely. It always makes me laugh because when you are around Luke, you hear him say over & over, "Mommy... Mommy... Mommy... Mommy..."
it never ends until she finally answers
I mean... NEVER.ENDS.
I think its precious actually. The way his voice is. The way he says Mommy.
It actually sounds like Stewie on "The Family Guy"
& for the record, I don't watch The Family Guy... I don't understand a cartoon about a kid with a football shaped head that is violent, curses & has the stupidest father ever...
Does anyone else just see a football with eyes? |
but there is a commercial that plays for it all the time & Stewie is standing next to his mother going, "Mommy, Mommy, Momma, Mom, Mother, Momma, Mom" ... & she turns around finally & says, "WHAT?"... he just looks at her & says, "Hi"
That's Luke...
So I thought of that persistent cutie pie (Luke... not Stewie) today when I read my Bible verse for the day...
Luke 11:9-10 (NLT)
9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened
Do we stand behind God & keep asking for what we want ...
or even to just say, "Hi?"
Or do we get frustrated with Him because he hasn't answered fast enough
or we didn't get the results we wanted?
& we walk away...
Nope... this verse is a perfect reminder of those kids that never give up...
God wants us to bug him in the same way..
KEEP ON!
Keep on asking.
Keep on seeking.
Keep on knocking.
Be that persistent one....
(BAM! I just made Stewie from Family Guy a Biblical example... I'm sure somewhere Seth MacFarlane just died a little inside... )
LOL!! I think he just died a little too...you go girl!
ReplyDeleteI really needed this verse today, thanks.
One of our family's little ones is in that phase right now!

That's EXACTLY what our minister preached his sermon on this past Sunday! How odd is that? He talked about how we often give up and throw in the towel before God's promises are fulfilled. Such a wonderful message!
