Thankful Thursday {Link Up #54}

This week I am Thankful For:

19 / Forehead kisses from my husband before he leaves for work while I'm still in bed sleeping.

20 / An invite to attend a church from a friend & their youth pastor reaching out to talk to us about serving.  I so appreciated their messages.

22 / New Disney coffee mugs.  They make me happy.

23 / Random Acts of Kindness / Pay it Forward... it happened again at McDonald last Friday getting my iced coffee.  The car in front of me paid for my breakfast!  (& shout out to all the nurses - she had a nurses license plate) ... so I was on top of it this time & paid for the car behind me. I'd love to know if other cars behind did the same thing... so fun to bless people.

25 / If I was going to be sick, I'm glad it was over the weekend & especially a weekend where I have no photo sessions.  One of my biggest fears is having a wedding or photo session & being sick.  I cant imagine feeling like I did & having to go work for 12 hours at a wedding being on my feet all day. So if I had to be sick, good timing.

25b / Nasal spray.  I wouldn't have been able to sleep the past week without it.

26 / my dad & the twins bringing over my birthday gift to me

30 / such thoughtful neighbors that clear our driveway for us.

34 / We were all OK when a shooting happened next door to my work.  Police, ambulances, firetrucks, SWAT teams were everywhere.  Along with new reports & helicopters over head while they were trying to find the shooters.  I had to be escorted into the building after lunch & then we had to stay on lock down while they were looking for the shooter. Talk about an eventful day... but thankful we were safe & the shooting apparently was a work related fight & not a random shooter just out to shoot people.  (Not like that's any better - but glad they weren't going around shooting more people)
I'm also so thankful for the sweet messages, prayers & texts checking to see how I was that day.  That meant the world to me.

39 / Subway Reward Points.  It gave me & Ricky both a free lunch on our Wednesday Lunch Date.  It may be the only time Ricky will say I'm a cheap date :)  ... I still have enough points on it for another free lunch for the both of us.  Think I eat at Subway a lot?

What are you THANKFUL FOR this week?

  1. The situation with the shooting at work sounds really scary. I'm glad you and everyone you know ended up being ok. I've got to find a subway close to me. I miss their sandwiches.

    Nasal spray is my best friend sometimes too. I hate having to be a mouth breather when I'm stopped up. lol

  10. Oh my gosh I can't believe that about the shooting! So glad you're okay, and hopefully no one died and injuries were minor.

    On a lighter note, I have a serious Subway craving now!

  11. Oh my gosh, that is so awesome that someone did that for you at the McDonalds. I just love people that do random acts of kindness. Makes me always feel guilty of not doing enough myself:)

  13. How frightening! I had seen posts about the shooting all over Facebook but didn't know where it was. Random violence is bad enough but to know the person you're going after and there be a chance of innocent bystanders being hurt ... I think that's worse. Glad you're safe!! And I've had some colds where that plunger would have come in handy ... (gross, but true) :)
