Wednesday... Hodepodge Time
1. It's a brand new month...share one thing you're looking forward to in October.
October is my favorite favorite favorite month...
Lots of birthdays to celebrate - our anniversary - cooler temps - smells of burning leaves
but my favorite - COLOR... I love the changing leaves
I grew up always being told that Fall is the time that the world becomes God's Coloring Book
2. Is chivalry dead? Explain.
No - but I think its dying...
I think with every generation, it gets a little more slack.
I mean, this is the generation that wears they're pants down past their butt... how can they open a door for a lady when they're just trying to make sure they're butt isnt showing..
oh wait... they want their butt to show...
my point is made
3. On October 2, 1950 the Peanuts comic strip made its debut. Which character is your favorite? Which character is most like you? (Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Snoopy, Woodstock or Pig Pen) If you need a description click here.
I have never been a huge Peanuts fan... Gasp... I know... Un-American... but remember, I'm also the one who has never seen Andy Griffith (& for the record, I just had to look it up -I thought it was Andy Griffin)...
but if I had to be a character, I'm going out on a limb... I'm this girl
The one who dances in the Christmas Pageant... I always pull out that same move!!!
4. What's something you're competitive about?
I'm competitive with our work copy machine...
I try to get in the next piece of paper before the copy machine shuts back down & then has to fire back up...
Its like a 3 second turnaround after the first paper is copied...
its a challenge..
...I take it seriously...
5. October is National Popcorn Popping Month...are you a fan? How do you like your popcorn?
I have to be in a mood for popcorn... & its rare...
but every now & then, I'll pop some & salt the heck out of that stuff for a movie
Now carmel popcorn is another story... mmmm....
6. When did you first realize the world is small?
I learned this lesson young in life...
... when I was 6 years old..
... I was in Florida...
... where a Mouse rules...
& a bunch of kids were singing about it to me...
7. In terms of architecture, what's the most beautiful building you've seen up close and in person?
I guess the most beautiful building I've seen is the Bellagio in Vegas...
Where they had the inside botanical gardens & then glass flowers on the ceiling? My jaw dropped
8. Insert your own random thought here
I just did the BEST Photo Bomb EVER!!!!
Hahahahaha!!! I saw this picture on Facebook yesterday... someone in the crowd was taking a picture at the wedding...
this Bride & Groom wanted a 'rear view' kiss picture - so I have to get a step ladder & get it up right before the kiss... well, this was an outdoor wedding & I'm right in front of a tree... well, there were roots everywhere so my ladder was wobbly... my fear is that I'd fall right in front of everyone - knocking down the arch, falling into the Bride - all the horrible things you'd see in a Romantic Comedy movie...
But Chasity was at the end of the aisle giving me a thumbs up that I was up on the ladder... I wasnt sure I was going to stay up there...but I did...
& I got the shot... score one more for me!
haha! super funny picture at the end, lol! you look terrified. Hope October goes awesomely for you!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I didn't think of the Disney ride! lol
ReplyDeleteI love that picture with you in the background. The look on your face is priceless.
That photobomb is THE BEST EVER!! ha ha ha ha ha....
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I about spit my coffee at the screen when I got to your photo bomb picture...fantastic!! I really enjoyed visiting your blog today. Thanks for the smiles!
ReplyDeleteGod's Coloring Book...I like that!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I know what you mean about the copying machine thing. I hate when I can't get the pages in there in a constantly flowing rhythm and you have that lull in between, especially if you have several copies of a long document that you are copying.
Love your answer to the small world question... funny!
Your picture at the end is The Bomb!
The look on your face is priceless.
Enjoyed visiting your blog today!
Carmel corn is super! Great picture! I loved Andy Griffith both as the sheriff of Mayberry and as Matlock.
ReplyDeleteYour face is PRICELESS! Love it x's 100! That, my friend, is a moment to remember! ;) I've been to the Bellagio before, but I don't recall those glass flowers on the ceiling. Wow...I really missed a good photo op, huh? I didn't realize your anniversary is this month, too...how awesome is that!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of "It's a Small World" but now after reading your post I have it stuck in my head ;)
ReplyDeleteMy husband would say I'm Lucy because she's so bossy! I have no idea what he's talking about! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photobomb!
Congrats on getting that shot! I'm glad you didn't actually write out the words to that song or it would be more stuck in my head than it already is : )
ReplyDeleteYour answers made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting "the shot" and for getting that song stuck in everybody's head :-)
At first glance I didn't even see you in that pic! So funny! I love fall colors too - so much so that I decided to do a fall photo link party next week so I can see what fall looks like for my blog friends :)
ReplyDeleteYour photobomb is priceless! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your line "Fall is the time that the world becomes God's Coloring Book". So true!!
I wasn't much of a fan of Charlie Brown either. Good answer on the small world question. Yes the Bellagio is beautiful. Oh no on that picture!
