What happened 8 years ago today...

First, here's what happened a few days before 8 years ago today...

(My momma & my sister in law... if I wasnt taking the picture, I would put my belly in the mix too)

I'm sure my sister in law loves this picture of herself... I think its amazing... afterall, there were TWO babies in that belly...

So back to the original post, 8 years ago today, this happened

And by "This happened" - I mean my brother had a DEATH GRIP on his children.  Seriously - look at those fingers & how white knuckled they are.

I like to tell Tony this is the best picture ever of him... oh, is his face covered? mmm... (Sister's can get away with that kind of comment to a brother)

Its funny because I can look at that picture & know which twin is which ...

Some people see them & can instantly tell they're twins...

They're not identicial, but they do have some things that I can see a resemblence...
But they are total opposites...

I love that about them... so unique... so special in their own way...

You've heard me say some of the opposite things about them before, but here's another good example...

I asked them what they wanted for their birthday & Madi told me she wanted Hot Wheels or Basketball cards... while Sophia said she wanted a Kindle Fire & jewelry. 

I told her not to hold her breath on the Kindle Fire :)

So tonight, we'll be celebrating that these little babies are now 8 years old...

8 years old!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! 

When did that happen...

I'm freaked out thinking they're getting close to double digits...then middle school... then DRIVING.. then MARRIAGE!!!!!!!!!!! 

Then old enough to take care of their old, crumpling aunt :)

So a big Happy Birthday to my favorite twins in the whole wide world...
