Thankful Thursday

The impact that a daily practice of gratitude can have on your health ... and what it has done for me.:

This week I am THANKFUL FOR:
{The numbers go with my One-Thousand Gifts Journal / so just ignore them}

765 / Limits.  I took a night off from editing pictures. I'm learning that I need some nights to come home from work & not do my photography job. This is all my own timing. I do a great job at being fast so taking a night off & taking some stress off of myself, its a learning process.

766 / Playing cards with Ricky. I love this time.  I'll also add in there that I'm thankful I am a good loser.  The hubs? ....mmm... maybe not so much... maybe... kinda... so its a good thing he's 99% of the time the winner. I'm ok with that. I'm in it for fun quality time.

767 / My new Belle Coffee Mug. I am SO IN LOVE with my new mug. I'd love to have this print but I ain't shelling out $400 for a print for my wall.  I am getting quite the collection of Disney mugs now.  Ricky even said, "OK our space is running out - no more mugs"... to which I said, "There's a couple of Marvel Superhero ones that we can give away"... he didn't find the humor in that.

:

769 / Caught water before it was a worse mess.  With the AC running full time in this heat, our water is pouring out of the unit downstairs. So much that the drain wasn't flowing quickly enough.  It was overflowing & flooded a part of our basement - water going under the walls & onto 2 rooms with carpet.  UGH... but I'm thankful we caught it when we did. It could have been so much worse.  It could have even got to my treadmill. I would have FREAKKKKKED out if that happened. NOT THE MILL!!!!

770 / Leading to go to MSM Hangout. I wasn't sure I was going to go to the Youth event on Friday  night.... & then got a DM from one of my small group girls asking if I was coming. & then she said, "I want to see one of my favorite leaders"... OK God, I hear you.  I had been praying all day for a sign from God on whether I should go or not. That was clear enough. I went & loved every second of it.

773 / Cool Showers on hot humid days.  I'm not much of a steaming hot shower person anyways, but I really dig a cool water shower when its so miserably hot outside.

776/ JOY Sisters.  Always.  & even happier that my buddy Megan came. She's the one I just did pictures for so I was able to give her all her edited pictures.  I was just happy to get to see her twice in one week!
This girl... stunning ❤ inside & out. <a class="pintag searchlink" data-query="%23rebeccajophotography" data-type="hashtag" href="/search/?q=%23rebeccajophotography&rs=hashtag" rel="nofollow" title="#rebeccajophotography search Pinterest">#rebeccajophotography</a>…:
Doesnt she have THE BEST smile???

778 / New Workout Program. & my buddy to do it with. Love the accountability & the partnership.  Love a new beginning.  Love a plan.  Let's see how long this love lasts :)

780 / Some Bruno time.  My grumpy old man is getting older every day.  We've had him 11 years now & he was 4 when we got him... do the math - old.  For a doggie.  Poor little guy just looks rough lately & I can really see the age on him.  I loved we took him outside on his own & gave him some one on one time. He LOVES attention so much & he loved being able to lay in the drive way while Ricky & I did some yard work.  I loved seeing him happy.

781 / Hair Day.  Always.

Hair salon days make me so happy ❤ At least for a little bit. Now time to go…:

782 / Iced Tea.  GOOD Iced Tea. So I'm talking to you McAlisters... & also to you McDonalds.  Half & half tea is the way to go.

What good things are happening in your world this week?

  2. That's a gorgeous mug! We're on a mug-diet right now - have about 20 or 30 mugs and we only use the same 2 or 3 over and over. I'm so thankful for cooler temps this morning. If the weather could stay like this until Christmas Eve - heaven!

  3. I'm a pretty bad loser... haha. K doesn't enjoy playing games with me due to that tiny personality flaw. Lol
You can never have too many mugs and McD's iced tea is delish!
What a happy Bruno-puppy! Nothing better than spoiling the fur babes! (And that shrub is PERFECTLY round- gorgeous!)

  4. I love your mug! So pretty. I hope it is less miserable hot soon. We are getting a reprieve these next few days with the storms coming. Your hair looks awesome. McAlister's tea is the bomb. I wish we had them up here!

  6. I take "tepid" showers in the summer. That's a word you don't hear every day!! :) Your sweet "old man" puppy is so blessed to be your furkid and I know you have been blessed by him. It's hard when our pets age and we start seeing the signs. I always enjoy your thankful posts!!

  8. I love McAllister's lemonade! :) yum. I'm not a big fan of any type of tea just yet. Guess it's not my thing. Girl you have SO many Belle mugs! I love it!! Are you excited for live action B&TB?!?!?!?! - I am!! That photo is so cute, she does have a great smile! & pets are so difficult. They feel so helpless sometimes. I wish they could tell us what was going on and what they wanted sometimes. :) XO - Alexandra

  10. Okay, so I don't play the half & half game, but I do agree McDonalds tea is on point. I love McAllisters too, but they aren't up here. :( I want my sweet tea to be so sweet it's practically syrup. And for only $1 sometimes? It's dangerous how quickly I can drink an XL sweet tea.

  11. You do have a great life!
Yeah, I bet it's hard but nice to set the picture editing aside for a day.
Love your hair, I wish mine would have actual great volume like yours. I have the long hair, but it's so straight you'd think I flatironed it each day, but I don't and no amount of fuss gives me great volume like yours, so feel lucky!

  12. Those mugs!!! I love that you guys play cards. I cant get Chris to play games with me :( Ugh adult problems like the HVAC sucks! At least you caught it! I have hair day tonight! Getting a cut and color finally! I haven't been since February. I am looking a little rough these days.

  13. Half and half tea is the best. My husband is the bad loser at games in our house. He can win a game ten times and love it and then he loses once and the game is banned forever haha. It is dead to him!
