Because we need a Hodgepodge to get us through this

From this Side of the Pond

So thankful Joyce has come out of 'retirement' & got the Hodgepodge all fired up again.
We needed this fun little community to band together during this time.

& a big Happy April Fool's Day.
I dont think many people are up to big pranks this year.
I'm really bad at them anyways. I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt someone's feelings, or disappoint them - like when you make them think they won the lottery or something. I dont have the heart for pranks.
I think 2020 has been pulling the biggest prank of all... so there's that...

Onto the Hodgepodge!

1. Has spring sprung in your part of the world? How can you tell? Did March come in like a lion where you live? Going out like a lamb or something more ferocious?

I think the COVID-19 alone can take the LION title for us all...

But as for Spring, we never really had a bad winter so spring sort of just eased its way in here.  All our flowers are blooming up & our flowering trees are all bloomed... & I'm seeing more & more green.  It was near 80 degrees one day & chilly in the 50's the next.  I'll take that instead of the rush of summer humidity which can happen.

2. The last thing that caused you to spring to your feet?

It's usually because Bruno looses his balance in his walker & is ready to tip over.
I'll probably break something tripping over things to dive to get to him.

3. Do you have a spring clean to-do list? What's one chore on the list you've already managed to accomplish? What spring clean chore do you most dread?

Right now, my Spring To-Do list basically is "SURVIVE"... am I right?

As for cleaning, I usually do a closet once over every Spring & Fall - time to break out the shorts & tees & dresses.  Best part - pull out all the sanadals - YES - my happy place.

I do need to clean out my enclosed porch. The dogs wear it OUT during winter with muddy & snowy feet in there.  But once I can get the sliding doors open & windows, I can get it all cleaned up - & then it will become my favorite reading spot - I can close the screen doors & read & still feel the breeze of outside... causing my allergies to make me feel awful - but still, yeah!

4. Tell us something you've learned about yourself or the wider world as a result of social distancing/the virus crisis.

I've learned I really am a home body.  I haven't minded at all being home.  Yes, I miss people, but its been really nice to not have to run around & be at 5 places in one day.  It's really let me BE STILL I think its helped because I've been able to get outside with the warmer weather. If it were winter, I'd probably lose my mind having to be confined actually INDOORS.  But for now, we're doing OK.

I've learned about the world - it's full of idiots.  I knew this - didnt know the extent till now.

Sorry for the language... but it had Belle so I had to

5. Something you love that's the color pink?

I had to think... I love pink but had to think of all the pink things I have...
I'll go with my pink coffee mug that I use all the time

6. Insert your own random thought here.

So the county I live in was just called a "hot spot" & our local hospital apparently has the most COVID-19 patients around.  That makes us not even want to go out to the grocery anymore.  We watch the Nightly News every night & I always say, "ready to get freaked out" - because that's the only thing it does. All the anxiety being spread on the news.... whew. It's a rough time.   It's gotta get better soon, right? ... thank goodness for the people that are awesome at making Coronavirus memes though.  Love people can find laughter in some of the strangest times.
