...this is it...

...yep... my last year in my 30's....

The final installment of my Christmas Blogs will continue tomorrow, but today, I'm taking a break because...

Today... I am 39 years old... wow...my last year in my 30's!

I can remember dreading turning 30 & now I'm one year away from 40?  How does that happen so quickly?

Thank you so much for all of you who already wished me a Happy Birthday on Facebook!  I love Facebook alone just for my birthday.  It cant help but put a smile on  your face when you wake up to 25 new messages of well wishes before 7:00 am...

So... I need your help....

Its the last year in my 30's & I want to see what fun or exciting or memorable things I can cram into the next 365 days.  I'd love to get a list of 40 things to take me into my 40th birthday....My bloggy friend Kelley is the same age I am, & on her birthday, she did this... it was great to see her final list.  So thanks for the idea Kelley!!!!

So far, I have on my list:

*Continue to stalk Steven Curtis Chapman until I get a picture with him
*Knock 30 minutes off my half marathon time from last year
*Get a pedicure ... (Do you know I've NEVER had a pedicure?  Still freaked out about doing it ... but this is a list of new experiences)

So give me some suggestions... what should I do in this next year?  What is something you've done that you are so glad you did... big or small?

And the first person who tells me to parachute... you are no longer my friend.... just saying...

  1. That's a fantastic idea! And Happy Birthday - how about just stop at 39, let that simmer for awhile. You could definitely get away with it!

  2. You're welcome & HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love this idea! You know what I did? I posted it on facebook and got a lot of my ideas from there (Note: not EVERYTHING made the list--I'm not skydiving or wearing a bikini...).

You could learn to bake something that you love, but have never made?

    : )

  8. Uh.... well since I've only been on your blog more recently (and mostly because of 365) I'm not really sure I can actually offer up any suggestions that are you. But here goes:

    - read your Bible cover to cover
    - master a game you've never been able to win (if there is such a thing)
    - try foods from other cultures
    - buy a Wii ;0)

Yeah, I think I'm more practical than adventurous. But anyways, just so you know I'd never skydive either!

  10. Hmmm...I turned 40 last spring, so I don't have any very good suggestions. What about getting a small tattoo? I briefly entertained the idea of getting a Christian-themed one on my 40th but wound up not doing it.

I also like the idea of getting yourself a Wii. I am LOVING mine! Did you know that you can hook up the Wii to your internet wirelessly? So, you can shop and Facebook while playing games!

  11. Happy birthday to you! I love your list. I've never had a pedicure either, but I'd like to.

My new thing for this year is Project 365, but I know you already do it.

    xoxo

  13. Happy Birthday!

I dreaded turning 40 (a few years ago), but once it got here I LOVED it! The 40's are awesome.

But since you have a year to go...how about taking a class you've always thought about? Yoga, Zumba, photography, something crafty?
