This week I am Thankful For:
... the hubs making chili on Friday night after work. He called me while I was at the grocery Friday & told me everything to pick up & he went to it when he got home from work. It was YUMMY too! I told him he shouldn't have made it that good because now, he has a job to do every few weeks.
I swear I cleaned the kitchen after we ate... |
... getting to see some of my favorite youth kiddos perform at their school's band Christmas concert. I just think the world of these kids & felt like a proud aunt listening to them.
... my coloring book. Y'all - I am addicted. Like I probably need serious help. I have to color SOMETHING in it every night or I dont feel like the day is accomplished.
... Christmas songs. I am loving jamming to them on the drive to & from work.
... all the Christmas movies playing on stations all weekend long. I can sit & watch them all over & over & over again. Elf especially. I swear, I laugh just as hard every time its on. "BUUURRRRPPPP - did you hear that?"
... a husband who knows my obsession & feeds into it. Ricky wanted to surprise me for my birthday but wanted me to pick out the night & seats for Beauty & the Beast... & he went ahead & got me tickets! I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!! ... This will be the 7th time I've seen the Broadway show. & I'm just as excited as the first! Now, I have to countdown till January!
... prayer. So thankful for a communication that we can have any time, any moment, with our Lord - who hears every word we say.
What are you Thankful for this week?
That's awesome that someone had paid for your McDonald's order! That's a great idea to keep the gift card in your car to pay it forward at some point.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the expert chili maker in our house :) It's a dinner that I don't even attempt! Your McDonald's experience is awesome- and how kind of you to pay it forward! That's so awesome! I totally disagree with you about the weather, though. Give me snow or give me snow! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI am getting some of those fancy adult coloring books for Christmas. I can't wait!!
ReplyDeletei am loving all of the christmas music too. i'm not joking when i say i have a speaker in every room. even when i'm taking a shower.
ReplyDeletelove that elf gif - so funny! I need to start coloring again! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteThat is so incredible about the McDonalds kindness! I think I would definitley be shocked if it happened to me too! Great idea to save it for someone who really needs it.

That's SO nice. I love when these kinds of things happen! I just love passing it on and doing little things for folks throughout the year. Little Intentional Acts of Kindness. :) I have GOT to see Elf this year. I think I can do it... :) Beauty & the Beast is going to have a show here too, I have seen it once, so I'm not sure if we'll splurge or not. A Russian ballet company is also doing Sleeping Beauty the real ballet and I would LOVE to see that... :D We'll see! XO -Alexandra

So awesome that you got a coffee and gift card!!! Always nice to pay it forward too :) I am totally jealous of your Beauty and the Beast outing! How fun!!! I love Elf too and all the other Christmas movies!! I need to watch a few to get back in the spirit because you know I am not happy about the weather!
ReplyDeleteI love those coloring books, I keep saying I will do one!
ReplyDeleteWhoa... you are a GREAT color-er. Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that, that some bought your coffee and gave you a gift card...sweet!
ReplyDeleteMy husband makes the chili in our house too. And it's a very good thing.
We've really been enjoying all the Christmas movies around here too.
What a great gift to get tickets to go see Beauty and the Beast. I can't wait to hear all about it!
I'm loving all of the Christmas movies {especially ELF}, too!!! And I just have to say that every time I see a starbucks cup I think of your #icedcoffeedrinkerslovejesus! LOL!!
ReplyDelete"Buddy the elf, what's your favorite color?" is how I wish I could answer my phone at work every day! I need to watch that movie ASAP. Like tonight, possibly.
ReplyDeleteI've never paid for the person behind me but I really want to! I don't drive through too often but next time I do I need to do that. Once my sister-in-law and I were at Starbucks (in the store) and we were getting a drink each AND she was buying a $10 mug and the guy behind us said he'd pay for us and we were like, "Well we're getting a lot" and he still did it anyway. It was really nice of him!
I have my coloring books but haven't started coloring yet. Bought the girls books and colored pencils for Christmas this year!
