My brain is fried today... stress has a hold of me... so I'm gonna play along in a fun bloggy event & go meet some new people today to make my day a little brighter...You can click the button above & play along too!
1. What is one really fast, know-by-heart "go-to" meal to fix in a pinch?
My one Meal in a pinch... CARRY OUT!!! How about those apples - talk about FAST! I highly recommend it!
2. What is one item you won't leave home without. (Purse and license do not count.)
I think anymore, I'm paniced without my iPod touch... mainly because I can put on my tunes if I need too - or play a game if I'm stuck in traffic - or catch up on Twitter ... why didnt I have this little thing before.
3 Where is one place you never tire of visiting?
My rocking chair! With a book... & my dog.... life is good!
4. Share one factoid of your family's history.
I actually dont know much history... that's sad, isnt it... but I can tell you my great grandfather was a minister & my grandfather fought in World War II - He's still around to tell stories about it too for all the history buffs I know...other then that, the most history I can tell you is my first grade teacher was Miss Clayton... interesting stuff, huh?
5. Complete this sentence: "Once upon a time I ...."
believed in Happily Ever After...
6. If you could win a one year's supply of anything, what would it be?
IAMS DOG FOOD!!!!!! With four dogs - & two of them being BIG dogs, we go through the dog food something crazy... & IAMS is just a brand the breeder we bought our Aussie from highly recommended - so we've stuck with it. Needless to say, it can add up with having to get 40 lb bags every couple of weeks...
7. "One quirky thing you may not know about me is ...."
I can touch my nose with my tongue... (I guess that's quirky enough?)8. You have one dollar in your pocket. What will you buy?
A fountain Diet Coke from the local gas station in the BIG OLE Styrofoam cups... can last me HOURS! And I'd get a nickel back... 95 cents... I stop & get one almost every day, so I know all about spending that dollar!
9. "One thing that always makes me laugh is ...."
sometime tripping & falling... sorry, its true... always has - always will make me laugh
10. What is one thing you could do today to help yourself reach a personal goal?
Not eat... that was simple enough
11. What is one thing you could do today to bless someone else?
Tons of stuff - words of encouragement, a hug, a prayer, a smile... heck, the possibilite are ENDLESS
12. What is one thing you're looking forward to soon?
The weekend! I think this is the first weekend in 9 weeks that I DO NOT have anything planned... I dont know what to do with myself!
I know what you mean about the first weekend not having anything booked. Ditto here. And I'm can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteI use that same kind of dog food too. NOT cheap, haha!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love reading and sitting on the front porch in the rocker too.
ReplyDeleteI too can touch my nose with my tongue.
ReplyDeleteWow - that rocker sure looks appealing! I also buy that dog food... we only have the one dog but still it is pricey.
ReplyDeleteAhh...a rocking chair! Definitely the way to this southern girl's heart! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved your answer to #1! I can touch my nose with my tongue, too. It's a great way to get kids to open up when they're not talking as I'm trying to evaluate their speech! Of course, my long tongue doubled with a big nose helps me to be able to do it!
ReplyDeleteThat rocker looks like a great place to go!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I would have you laughing constantly! I am such a clutz!
ReplyDeletefun and informative,
ReplyDeletecute post!
Okay, so I'm a huge family history buff and have tons of info on all sides of my family (except the Armenian refugees, sadly ::sigh:: stupid genocide). My two cents? If he'd be willing, you should see if you can video tape your grandpa reminiscing. Mine was also in WWII, and I taped him for a school project once. He was reluctant to talk about the war at first, but really got into talking about the other men in his units. Now that he's gone, it's really special to me to a) have those stories to pass on and b) be able to listen to him tell a story.
ReplyDeleteCarry out is always so perfect, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteLove the dog food for sure.. I would want that too..
ReplyDeleteI like your chair..
Have a great day..
carry out is the best and is something I am looking forward to doing more of when my kids fly the nest.....feeding 5 on carry out can be quite costly!!!
ReplyDeleteyea for weekends with nothing planned....doesn't happen often enough does it?!
Kick back
ReplyDeleteRest
Come to MO
Sit in that Rocking Chair
Read a book
Come to MO....
You get the idea of what you can do this weekend =0)
Love you girl ~~ and love your list,
Dawn
I've thought about getting an ipod touch before. I'm still hoping they release one with a camera in it one day though.
ReplyDeleteAwww...you poor thing. Hugs to you during your stresses.
ReplyDeleteI posted my random dozen before reading your's. Funny how we both said dog food, eh? I used to feed mine Iams until I got laid off. After talking to a good friend of mine who's a vet tech, I switched to Dog Chow, which I can get in 50lb bags at Sam's for $21. What a moneysaver!
Take it easy, friend.
#1 is hilarious....carryout!! HAHA #11 is such a great question because we often get so self-absorbed, we forget to bless others who cross our paths. Love this post
ReplyDeleteYUM! Fountain Diets...I've been hooked on them too! That's a big ol drink for 95 cents!
ReplyDeleteRocking chair, book & dog sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ... tripping and falling ... me too :) ...
ReplyDeleteCostco had a coupon for Iams a few weeks ago. $10 off their huge bags. I managed to get my hands on 3 coupons so we are stocked on dog food now - that's an awesome coupon, right?
Catching up with you ... :)
